Disney Dreamlight Valley is getting tons of content with every update. The Pumpkin King Returns Update is one of the biggest, as it came alongside A Rift in Time DLC with a completely new map, characters, and multiplayer. Before you can gain access to new biomes, you will have to complete the Sands in the Hourglass mission. During it, you will learn to use the Hourglass Royal tool, capable of managing time and finding hidden items.

This quest will start automatically immediately after The Flying Metal Nuisance quest. So, you don’t need to fulfill any special conditions for this.

Your first task in Sands in the Hourglass quest will be the Secluded Beach. It is located to the right of the broken bridge. But the path to it is blocked by Swirling Sands. Equip and use Hourglass to get rid of them. We recommend removing them all, as they drop Mist, which you will need later.

On the beach, use the Hologram Station to talk to Jafar and find out that now you will have to repair the statue. But the lost parts are not just lying under your feet but lost in time. Luckily, your Hourglass can find them.

Find Statue Parts

To find lost statue fragments, press the appropriate button so that Hourglass starts looking for treasures nearby. A ring of light with sparkles on one side will appear above your head. Sparkles indicate to you which side the item is located. At the same time, the color of the ring shows how far or close the item is:

  • Blue ring – The item is far from you
  • Yellow ring – The item close to you
  • Orange ring – The item is almost in front of you

This way, you will quickly find 2 lost statue fragments. However, after this, you have to return to Ancient Landing and find three more ancient plates for Sands in the Hourglass quest. Besides them, there are many other time-lost treasures in the location, so we recommend you check out every corner with your Hourglass. But if you don’t want to waste time, here’s where you’ll find all three plates:

  • To the right of the exit from the beach under a huge tree.
  • Not far from EVE’s ship near the wooden boxes.
  • Behind the stone bench near the Well.

After this, return to the Beach and talk to Jafar again. He will give you the Statue-Repair Instructions. Find this item in your inventory and use it to learn how to use the Timebending Table. Then, go to the table and craft Statue’s Arms.

Finally, repair the statue to upgrade your Hourglass, which can now fix large structures. After this, return to the bridge and talk to Jafar again. He will tell you that to repair the bridge, Hourglass requires Mist Magic. Therefore, all you have to do is collect 2,000 Mist to repair the bridge and complete the Sands in the Hourglass quest.

To sum it up, here’s what you need to do:

  • Get to the Secluded Beach and learn how to search for treasures lost in time.
  • Use Hourglass to find all the lost statue pieces in the Secluded Beach and Ancient’s Landing locations.
  • Repair the Statue using the found fragments.
  • Repair the Bridge to new biomes for 2,000 Mist.
