The long-awaited Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has finally been released, and now players can plunge into the beautiful world of Pandora. However, due to the actions of the RDA, you will have to learn how to be a Na’vi from scratch. This includes various basic skills, including bonding with mounts. In other words, players will be able to get an Ikran in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. But to do this, you have to fulfill several conditions, one of which is to like Ikran.

Ikran is the signature Na’vi mount from the original films. It would be more correct to say that they become your faithful friend with whom you share one heart. Thanks to this connection, your Ikran will always come to your help, even if you fall off some cliff.

Luckily, you can get Ikran in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora by following the main storyline. By learning the skills and traditions of the Na’vi, you will achieve the Take Flight quest. And like all Na’vi before you, you have to complete the challenge in Ikran Rookery.

Take Flight Walkthrough

Take Flight is a fairly straightforward quest in which you will need to climb the vines and rocks in Ikran Rookery. Of course, there are many different Ikran in this place but only one will choose you. It is also worth noting that there will be many obstacles on your way, such as Gateway Lily. It is a plant that closes the passages you need with its leaves.

To open them, you need to follow the roots from these big leaves to the small ones. Then, touch them or shoot them with a bow to unlock the entrance. To find them faster, players can use Na’vi Senses.

As you progress through the Ikran Rookery in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you will finally encounter Ikran. Press the appropriate button to soothe it and slowly approach it. However, it would be too easy if you tamed this creature right away, wouldn’t it?

So you will have to repeat this several times until you see a cutscene where Ikran accepts you. You can even choose a name and color pattern for your mount. After this, according to tradition, you will be thrown off a cliff so that you secure the bond with Ikran in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

That’s all you need to know about how to get an Ikran in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. This mount will become your faithful friend both in exploring the lands of Pandora and in the battle with RDA.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is available for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
