Zendaya alarmed fans last week when she unfollowed everyone on Instagram, including her boyfriend, Tom Holland. The move raised speculation that the long-time couple had broken up. The rumors only intensified when the Spider-Man co-stars were recently seen flying solo in Los Angeles. On Friday, Jan. 12, TMZ asked the Uncharted actor about his relationship status and he actually responded. Here’s what he had to say about the Tom Holland and Zendaya breakup rumors.
Are Tom Holland and Zendaya Still Together?
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief because the breakup rumors are bogus. When asked if the two had split, Holland told TMZ, “No, absolutely not.” He didn’t say anything more on the topic, which is expected since he and Zendaya are notoriously private about their relationship.
Tom Holland and Zendaya first met in 2016 on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. They sparked dating rumors the following year when their movie premiered. However, their romance wasn’t confirmed until they were spotted kissing in a car in July 2021. That September, Holland made their relationship Instagram official by sharing cute a mirror selfie of him and Zendaya to celebrate her 25th birthday. The post featured a heartwarming caption in which he called the actress “My MJ.”
In June 2022, Zendaya returned the favor by posting a black and white photo of her and Holland cuddling in honor of his 25th birthday. She captioned the candid shot:

Since then, the pair have been spotted hanging out several times. Last year, they even went to a few of Beyoncé’s concerts together, including her birthday show in Inglewood, California.
