John has reached a milestone that many artists dream of achieving. On Monday, Elton John became an EGOT winner, joining an elite group of individuals who have received all four of the entertainment industry’s most prestigious awards โ an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony. The 76-year-old bagged an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) for his showย Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium. Unfortunately,ย John was unavailableย to receive his award due to a knee replacement surgery he recently underwent. However, the icon took to hisย Instagram pageย after the event to acknowledge the great feat.ย
“We won an Emmy and I am on cloud nine!! Receiving this recognition is a testament to the passion and dedication of everyone involved, and I am so deeply grateful,” John noted in the caption of his post.
He then proceeded to appreciate certain individuals, companies, and groups who contributed to his attaining the status. John didn’t forget to thank fans, friends, and collaborators who supported him throughout the years.
“Honored to have joined the hallowed ranks of EGOT winners, here’s to the joy of music and the magic it brings to our lives!” he finished.

As expected, fans were thrilled that Elton John won an Emmy Award, and they took to the comments section to congratulate the singer.
