Every good team needs a lovable bruiser, and in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that’s King Shark. Like Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy, he’s not the most aware character, but he packs a punch and (almost) always has his team’s back. With a hefty chaingun, Shark is far from the most mobile character in the game, but he’s the best tank Rocksteady has to offer. He offers substantial DPS as well, and with one of the best mobility powers in the game, it’s easy to stay in the thick of battle. Here’s the best King Shark build in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Although Vertical Launch and Apex Pounce both give King Shark explosive mobility, he’s often at his best when sitting in one spot. Due to his affinity for Heavy Weapons, you can typically squeeze the most damage out of him when you play to the strengths of his chaingun. That means you’re often at the mercy of incoming fire. Thankfully, King Shark can soak a great deal of damage, so there’s no reason to panic when the attacks pour in. Just prioritize the most troublesome foes and lend aid to teammates when you can.

Talents

King Shark’s Talents are a healthy split between mobility, ranged, melee, and Shield buffs. For the best King Shark build in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, you’ll want to focus on Heavy Weapon Talents first. Adding a couple of other Talent perk types to the mix is fine, but he’s stronger as a specialist than a jack-of-all-trades. Here are all the Talents you’ll need:

  • Blood Frenzy (Firepower)
  • Firearm Aptitude (Firepower)
  • Heaviest Weapon (Firepower)
  • Cornered Shark (Firepower)
  • Surf and Turf (Firepower)
  • Renewing Blitz (Firepower)
  • Devastating Bite (Firepower)
  • Blood in the Water (Firepower)
  • Bullet Feeding Frenzy (Firepower)
  • Shark Rage (Firepower)
  • Meat Cleaver (Strength and Dominance)
  • Suicide Strike (Strength and Dominance)
  • Domineering Presence (Strength and Dominance)
  • Royal Resurrection (Strength and Dominance)
  • Top of the Food Chain (Strength and Dominance)
  • Imperial Guard (Strength and Dominance)
  • Blood Dominion (Strength and Dominance)
  • Wave Breaker (Strength and Dominance)
  • Powerful Strikes (Strength and Dominance)
  • Nervous System (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Jump the Shark (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Land Shark (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Crashing Drop (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Streamline (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Drop and Destroy (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Critical Drop (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Jaws of Life (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Squad Ultimate (Powers of the Ancients)
  • Ultimate Ancients’ Strength (Powers of the Ancients)

Talent Overview

This selection of Talents allows you to deal more and take less damage the longer you sustain fire on your enemies, a trait that works beautifully on this chaingun-loving fish. You can quickly build Combo while firing thanks to Cornered Shark, giving you even fewer reasons to move around. Sit tight and let Harley and your other squadmates handle the acrobatics. You can use Vertical Launch and Apex Pounce to reposition on key sites, but otherwise, embrace your inner turret and stay put.

Weapons and Gear

Unlike Deadshot and other characters who benefit from equipping weapons of different types, King Shark is arguably best when you double down on what he’s good at. That means running two chainguns instead of one, taking advantage of their unique traits while capitalizing on all the points you put into related Talents. Black Mask’s Bulletstorm is a great Heavy Weapon for Shark because tagging multiple enemies in a short window is easy thanks to the weapon’s blistering rate of fire. At least until the Joker arrives in Season One, Bulletstorm will remain a top pick.

The Bullet-Propelled Grenade Legendary spawns a live grenade at enemies’ feet whenever you land a critical hit, making it ideal for crowd control against clusters of foes. Pair these weapons with Angry Face, Black Mask’s Target Priority, and Standard Deductible from the LEX Infamy set to make chewing through enemy defenses that much easier. When you play to his strengths in this way, King Shark can be one of the strongest members of Task Force X.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
