There’s a reason Task Force X is called the Suicide Squad: its members face threats there’s little hope they’ll survive. Rocksteady has delivered a series of iconic heroes and villains to face off against in Kill the Justice League, but some are definitely harder than others. Thanks to the mind-controlling powers of Brainiac, you’ll have to reckon with some of earth’s mightiest heroes if you want to unlock the Nexus and take your next step through this looter-shooters campaign. Here are the 5 hardest bosses in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, ranked from easiest to most difficult.

5. The Flash

The Flash is the first major boss you’ll face as you explore Metropolis in KtJL, so it’s no surprise that he’s one of the weakest. The Scarlet Speedster has the Speed Force at his disposal, making him a difficult target as he darts around the arena. The good news is that’s about all he has going for him. Like the rest of the Justice League, being under Brainiac’s sway seems to have significantly nerfed this lightspeed hero. Once you manage to get a lock on him, all it takes is a handful of well-timed counterattacks to lay The Flash to rest.

4. Brainiac

Brainiac has much in common with The Flash, and he isn’t much more difficult to defeat unless you’re fighting him at the highest Mastery level. Though tracking and countering Brainiac are the bread and butter of this battle, you do need to switch things up when he puts his shields up and starts healing. Gizmo and Poison Ivy make this fight much easier than it would otherwise be, but even without their assistance, you can clear it without too much difficulty. Just stay on the move and utilize your Traversal Attack and Squad Ultimate as much as possible.

3. Batman

Thanks to the Scarecrow’s fear toxin, fighting Batman is literally nightmarish. That’s because you’ll have to fight a gigantic demon version of the World’s Greatest Detective instead of his more manageable human form. He’s changed a lot since Arkham Knight. Batman mixes his attacks up, shooting a molten laser at you, then switching to flame waves and other moves, but there’s ultimately not enough variety here for the Caped Crusader to pose a proper threat. Perhaps due to his enormous size, this version of Batman is locked in place, which makes landing your shots a cinch.

2. Green Lantern

Green Lantern packs more complexity into his fight than most other League members, which is one reason he’s one of the hardest bosses in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. His ring allows him to create energy projections including giant machine guns, missiles, and even floating mines. Though the machine guns aren’t much of a threat if you stay on the move, the missiles pack a punch. It’s also easy to get bounced straight into a mine if you’re not careful. Considering how smug he is going into the fight, taking Green Lantern down feels great when it happens.

The face of the Justice League and one of the strongest characters according to canon, the Man of Steel poses a serious threat, especially when you’re first learning his moves. He has ice breath. He has heat vision. Superman can even pick vehicles up and beat you with them. Worst of all, you can’t even do consistent damage unless you build up the Kryptonite meter to make him vulnerable. Combine all that with an AoE blast that can one-shot you if you mess up your spacing and it’s no wonder why Superman ranks amongst the hardest bosses in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
