Kanye West may vibe getting his just deserts after claims that venues won’t book him for gigs after the backlash of his antisemitic rants, which severely impacted his reputation. West has even compared himself to the “King of Rock and Roll,” Elvis Presley, relating his life to a biographical movie.
The 24-time Grammy-winning rapper and influencer spoke to Instagram on Tuesday about the process of fitting his $850k titanium dentures. He segued into discussing his current plight, informing his 19M followers that venues have shunned him.
โAnd you know why that is,” he started. In a since-deleted follow-up post, as reported by Page Six, Kanye West made a loose comparison to Elvis Presley, whom generated an impression by audiences of “the personification of evil.”
โI have not been allowed to perform in a year,โ he wrote. โFeels like the Elvis Presley movie.โ
West also confirmed that the only arena supporting his tour is the United Center in his hometown of Chicago.
โWe just sold out the United Center in seven minutes, and I just want to express to everybody out there to see if itโs anyone that can help with this. Itโs the only arena that I had access to in the past year,โ he said.
โAnd when I call, people say there are no avails for me and you know why that is,โ he added, subtly referring to his past controversies.
โSo if thereโs anybody out there that can help with this, please do,โ he added.
Not six hours later, West had an influx of messages asking to book him after all.
He even posted a screenshot of text messages exchanged with his booking manager. She wrote: โCrazy amount of non stop calls from all over the world. Will send new offers and avails tomorrow.โ Cara also hinted to the fact that West was looking to perform in Australia.
Some of the venues on Kanye West’s radar include Petco Park in San Diego, Calif., SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., several NYC venues, and Galaxy Arena in Hong Kong.
In late 2022, West lost the respect of millions when he openly ranted about Donald Trump, Adolf Hitler, Jesus, and even bashed numerous private schools โ including those attended by his children.
