  • FF7 Rebirth Stealing Tonberry King’s Crown

As you explore and visit various points of interest in Corel, you might discover the location of a powerful optional boss โ€” the Tonberry King. This leader of the small yet terrifying Tonberries loves to cast instant death spells. Besides beating this monster, Chadley suggests you can claim the massive golden crown for yourself. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done since the Pristine Crown sits firmly on the Tonberry King’s head inย FF7 Rebirth.

Likeย Quetzalcoatlย inย FF7 Rebirth, you can only challenge the Tonberry King and steal its crown afterย visiting four Lifestream Springs. You can get their locations byย activating all the old Republicย Intel Towers. After analyzing the Springs, Chadley will mark the new Classified Intel: Heavy Lies the Crown icon on the southeast side ofย Corel.

The Tonberry King will hide in an ancient arena near the east coast in FF7 Rebirth. You may need to ride the buggy to cross the river and pass through the tall rock forest. When you’re ready, hold the Triangle button to summon the boss and trigger the fight.

The Tonberry King is a tough boss because it can cast various unblockable attacks. However, its most dangerous move is theย Well-Honed Knife, which can inflict instant death. I highly recommend equipping your main DPS with theย Safety Bit accessory.

You can obtain this gear inย Chapter 7 when exploring the Coal Mines. When you are back to controlling Cloud and changing the mine tracks, you need to take the ladder to your left. A group of monsters will block your path, but you can find the Safety Bitย inside a chest in the shed.

You should alsoย bring a ton of Phoenix Down and equip the Raise Materiaย into this boss fight. I assure you the Tonberry King is very fond of its sharp and massive knife and loves nothing more than to stab you with it. My character died at least five times during this battle.

Once you are ready, you can attempt to steal the Tonberry King’s crown by pressuring this FF7 Rebirth boss. Since the monster is not weak to any element, you must deal a ton of damage after you dodge its attacks.

When the Tonberry King finally drops the Pristine Crown, you have limited time to steal this jewelry before the boss picks it up. You must equip and use the Steal Ability on the item to take this object. After the battle ends, you can go to Costa del Sol and give the item to Johnny.
