Ghost of Tsushima Is Coming To PC & It’s Better Than Ever

The Ghost is coming to PC.

In typical Sony fashion, yet another PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 exclusive is being ported onto PC after the importance of its exclusivity has expired. Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch Productions which originally came out in 2020 is getting a PC release in May 2024. The PC version is the director’s cut of the game, which means it will include the excellent Iki Island DLC as well.

Like older PlayStation games that received PC versions, this one also happens to be a very good port, at least on paper. The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima will not be limited by the PlayStation 5’s capabilities and you can expect a lot more flexibility regarding how to can play.

While the PlayStation 5 version of the game was locked to 60 FPS, and the PlayStation 4 version was locked to 30, the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima will have unlocked framerates, like any good PC port should. Couple that with ultrawide (21:9), super ultrawide (32:9), and even triple monitor support (48:9), it seems that PC is the place to jump into feudal Japan as Samurai/Ninja.

But of course, to take advantage of all these new bells and whistles, your PC needs to be at the bleeding edge. Sony will likely release the PC system requirements for Ghost of Tsushima as we get closer to its release on Steam like it did with Horizon Forbidden West.

Regardless of which graphics card you have, you will be able to use AI upscaling as the game supports DLSS 3 and AMD FSR3 as well. Along with that, you can expect Nvidia Reflex/DLAA to take the game’s visual fidelity to the next level. In terms of controls, like all previous PlayStation exclusives, it supports the DualSense with all the rumble features and the traditional keyboard and mouse.
