Chiori is one of the most renowned fashion designers in Teyvat, as well as one of the best Geo-units in Genshin Impact, given her ability to deal high damage at low intervals and fit a wide array of team compositions. But as you might imagine, you will need a fine-tailored build to bring out her best. Here’s how to build Chiori in Genshin Impact.

The Best Chiori Build in Genshin Impact

Considered by many as the female counterpart to Albedo, Chiori shines the most when performing the role of an off-the-field Sub-DPS focused on dealing damage through the automatons summoned by her Fluttering Hasode Elemental Skill. True to that, our Chiori build will be focused on empowering her Skill DMG above all else.

Can Chiori Also Work as a Top Tier Main DPS?

Although using her as a main DPS is viable, her low overall Attack, lack of an NA/CA buffing passive, and low infusion uptime will stop her from reaching the heights of the game’s current best Geo DPS’.

She can perform the role way better once you unlock her sixth constellation, Sole Principle Pursuit, which will allow you to span her Skill every 5 seconds to deal massive damage and keep your weapon coated in Geo indefinitely. Nevertheless, we will also be showing you a great Main DPS build that is sure to work wonders for Chiori.

The Best Artifacts for Chiori

The best artifact set for sub-DPS Chiori is a four-piece Golden Troupe. The set is my main pick for her given its ability to buff her Elemental Skill damage by up to 45% while on the field, as well as by 70% when off of it.

Also known as the best friend of most Geo-units, a 4-piece Husk of Opulent Dreams is also a solid pick for Chiori, given her DEF scaling. The set is also my premier pick for those playing her as a main DPS, as it will massively increase her Defense while also offering a good boost in Geo DMG in optimal conditions. Here’s an overall description of the effects of both artifact sets, as well as how to get them.

Artifact SetEffectsHow to Acquire
Golden Troupe2-Piece: Increases the DMG of your Elemental Skill by 20%.
4-Piece: Further increases your Elemental Skill damage by 25%. If the character equipped with the set is off the field, the damage is further increased by 25%.
By completing the Denouement of Sin Domain, located in Fontaine’s Belleau Region.
Husk of Opulent Dreams2-piece: Increases your Defense by 30%.
4-piece: You will gain a 6% increase in Geo Damage and Defense per Geo attack performed while in the field or 3 seconds passed while off of it. Stacks up to 4 times. The stacks will be lost periodically if no Geo attack is performed within 6 to 24 seconds.
Can be acquired by completing the Slumbering Court Domain on Seirai Island.

As an alternative for those looking to use Chiori as an on-field DPS, using a full Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods set for its massive Geo DMG boost while protected by shields created by Crystalize can also work.

Best Main and Sub-Stats

Chirori is a character whose Elemental Skill and Burst scale are more of Defense. For that, I recommend that you go with a DEF Sands of Eon and a Geo Damage Bonus Goblet of Eonothem. For the Circlet of Logos, go with CRIT DMG, as her CRIT Rate ascension stat will allow you to easily reach the 50% Rate/100% DMG threshold with substats. When using a CRIT DMG weapon, go with CRIT Rate as your Circlet’s main stat. If you are using her as a main DPS, go with an ATK Sands of Eon.

Substat-wise, you should prioritize CRIT Rate/DMG, DEF, and ATK in this order.

Best Weapons for Chiori

For both main and sub-DPS builds, the best weapon for Chiori is her signature 5-star sword, Uraku Misugiri. This blade will offer 88.2% CRIT DMG at level 90 and increase —at R1— her Defense by 20% and her Normal Attack and Elemental Skill DMG by 16 and 24%. As an extra, the sword will also double its DMG boosts for 15 seconds after a teammate deals Geo DMG.

Following her signature weapon, I consider a Wolf-Fang at above third refinement to be the best weapon for a sub-DPS Chiori. The Battle Pass exclusive 4-star earns its place thanks to its ability to increase her Skill/Burst Damage by 28% and provide a handy boost of CRIT Rate. For those using her as a main DPS, Light of Foliar Incision will be my pick.

The Best F2P Weapon for Chiori

The best F2p weapons for Chiori are the event-exclusive Cinnabar Spindle and Festering Desire. Of the two, Cinnabar Spindle takes the lead given its ability to massively boost the damage dealt by her Tamoto automatons. At level 90, the weapon will also offer a 69% increase in Defense.

To recap, you can check out the best weapons for main and sub-DPS Chiori below, as well as a few not-mentioned alternatives. 5-star weapons over R1 were not taken into consideration.

The Best Teams for Chiori in Genshin Impact

Thanks to her ability to summon one extra automaton when close to Geo constructs created by allies and get a 20% increase in Geo Damage if there are any in the field, Chiori is an ideal pick for any kind of Geo-focused team. She shines specifically brighter when paired with Noelle (in teams also featuring either Zhongli, Gorou, the Traveler, or Albedo for their constructs) and Itto. Contrary to what many might think, she can also work as a Geo-pick in a few Navia teams.

As a main DPS, Chiori is at her best when in the Geo/Hydro team composed of Zhongli, Gorou, and Furina. In this scenario, you will have in Zhongli the game’s sturdiest shield, in Gorou a defense buff and the guarantee you will always have enough energy, and in Furina a source of both game-changing buffs and healing. Using Yun Jin in the place of Furina or Gorou can also work, although you won’t be able to make use of her buff to the fullest.

To recap, here are the best teams for Chiori, as well as some great alternatives that are sure to deliver a performance up to her standards.
