Jackpot & Black Cat is about to pounce its way to readers in Marvel’s new releases this week. The highly anticipated series comes from writer Celeste Bronfman and artist Emilio Laiso. It follows a new adventure that puts Mary Jane Watson’s newly superpowered Jackpot together with Marvel’s resident cat burglar, Felicia Hardy, AKA Black Cat. Together, the duo are tasked with hunting down a Spider-Man villain responsible for a recent string of crimes. However, the villain behind all this drama ends up being a more personal enemy to the two than anyone expected.

Marvel’s limited series, Jackpot & Black Cat, brings two of the biggest characters of the Spider-Man Universe together for a new adventure. Someone is working from the shadows to blackmail the denizens of the Marvel Universe. When Black Cat becomes their latest target, new superhero Mary Jane Watson comes to her aid. Together, the duo go on the hunt for who is behind all of this blackmail. However, they soon uncover it is the responsibility of a classic Spider-villain. And this one has ties to one of our heroines.

This four-issue limited series comes after Watson’s super alter ego, Jackpot, debuted their first solo adventure. Mary Jane and her luck-based powers are a big hit with fans and have propelled the character atop many people’s favorite lists. Now, readers can enjoy both Black Cat and Jackpot working together to take down some Spidey-villains.
