Uncovering the false Arisen’s identity is no easy matter in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but you’ll find out who they are during the main quest, The Stolen Throne. As if torn from the pages of The Game of Thrones itself, Disa is keeping the royal seat warm with someone very close to her. However, to uncover the mystery, you’ll have to go undercover. Throw on your best outfit because you’ll be attending a fancy ball.

DD2: The Stolen Throne Quest Walkthrough

To complete The Stolen Throne in DD2, you’ll have to knock out a few prerequisites. Here’s a breakdown of the quest:

  • Obtain the Eventide Mask
  • Obtain a set of courtly clothes
  • Join the masquerade in the Royal Quarter
  • Find out the identity of the fake Arisen

Now, the Eventide Mask should already be in your inventory; Captain Brant gives one to you at the same time you take the quest. As for the courtly clothes, it’s a two-piece set consisting of the Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches. They’re incredibly expensive, but I know a better place.

So, head on over to the Noble Quarter and enter Allard’s Estate, located right next to the brothel. On the second floor, in two separate rooms, you’ll find both articles of clothing. You can take them without consequence, so suit up, along with the Eventide Mask, and you’re ready to go.

Your next stop is at the BLANK in the Royal Quarter at night. Since you’re all dressed up, you can simply walk inside without having to sneak in. Now, make yourself at home and mingle with the other guests. From their chatter, you’ll discover the false Arisen is a no-show.

Leave the rotunda and investigate the back of the building. Don’t worry—none of the guards will pay you any mind. You’ll find two rooms, each of which has a chest (one contains a set of courtly clothes, so there’s easy money). Now, push yourself against the wall between the two rooms, and you’ll find a false door. How odd!

Step through the double doors and follow the path outside. You’ll find that it leads straight to the Rose Chateau, the brothel of Vernworth. As you step through the curtains, you’ll come face-to-face with Wilhelmina. Thanks to her and her peephole, you are privy to the false Arisen’s identity: Disa’s very own son, Sven.
