Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a medieval sim, not a fantasy adventure. The difference? Henry’s story is brutal, making few concessions to modern comfort. That creates an immersive experience, but it can get frustrating at times. Whether you want the game to feel more like Dragon’s Dogma or you just want to smooth some rough edges, mods are the perfect solution. Mods can make small QoL adjustments or turn you into a sword-wielding, teleporting god. At long last you can reshape Bohemia the way you want it. Here are 5 of the best mods for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, in no particular order.

How to Install Mods in Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Installing mods in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is relatively easy, even if you have no modding experience. The hardest part will be choosing which of the many excellent mods out there you actually want. Here are the steps you’ll need to follow:

  • Visit Nexus Mods or your preferred mod site
  • Find the mod you want to download
  • Choose the “Manual” install option
  • Unzip the mod using WinRAR or another unzipper
  • Open Deliverance‘s root folder (typically steamapps/common/KingdomComeDeliverance)
  • If you don’t already have a “Mods” folder there, create one
  • Drag the folder inside the mod archive you downloaded into the “Mods” folder
  • Start the game

Unlimited Saving

To save your game in Deliverance you’ll either need to visit a bathhouse, sleep in a bed, or consume Saviour Schnapps. That’s not exactly convenient, to say the least. EddieShoe’s Unlimited Saving mod fixes that, allowing you to save whenever you’d like without using up your precious Schnapps. Considering how brutal Henry’s adventures are, it’s a good idea to keep your saves fresh. After all, you never know when you might take an arrow in the knee.

Cheat

While some mods improve your cutscenes or enhance your skills in battle, Othiden’s Cheat mod turns you into a medieval god. It grants access to the full console command list, enabling a variety of game-breaking actions. Want to spawn, teleport, or kill NPCs? How about manipulating your wealth, wanted level, or even the weather? Buffs, items, perks, and items can all be messed with using this mod. Just because Henry’s the son of a blacksmith doesn’t mean he can’t be all-powerful, apparently.

Unlimited Weight

Encumbrance is a basic part of life in many games. In sim a gritty and realistic as Kingdom Come, the hardships of weight were inevitable. Hantise’s Unlimited Weight mod frees you of this default restriction, allowing you to load yourself up with an almost infinite amount of gear and goodies. Increasing your Max Carry Weight to 999999999 lets you stuff your pockets full of entire castles and forests without exceeding your limit. Loot goblins, go!

Perkaholic

Every perk and skill has several perks attached, allowing you to specialize in certain activities. Whether you’re a humble craftsman or a deadeye longbow shot with no need for a reticle, perks will be a key part of your development. Xylozi’s Perkaholic mod expands the perk list considerably, making it one of the best mods for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Unlocking perks is already one of the most satisfying parts of the game, and Perkaholic just makes it better.

A Sorted Inventory

There are a ton of items to find in Kingdom Come, and Haslam’s A Sorted Inventory mod makes organizing your gear much easier. It adds a simple tag to each item’s name, making the auto-sort process far more effective. Gone are the days of wasting time digging around in your arsenal for one particular sword. For convenience alone, A Sorted Inventory is one of the best mods in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Never lose track of your loot again!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
