MWZ Season 3 Reloaded Takes The Zombies Story To The Moon?

The Moon 2.0.

So the new trailer for theย MW3ย Zombies/MWZ Season 3 Reloadedย is here, and well, we have a giant blue planet in the sky. The new rift for MWZ Season 3 Reloaded is taking us into theย Dark Aetherย once more to follow the story withย Dr. Jansen. However, we don’t know where that is, and if that’sย Earthย in the Dark Aether sky. Maybe we are on the moon perhaps?

It’s quite obvious that this new Dark Aether rift is again, a part of Al Mazrah. And Al Mazrah, is on Earth. So what does this planet in the sky have to say? There are three reasonable answers to this question.

Where Does the Zombies Story Take Place?

Dark Aether Earth MWZ MW3 Zombies

  1. We are on the moon. If that’s the case, we know that Dark Aether differs from our world. So, the Moon in this realm could mirror a certain place from Earth, specifically Al Mazrah in MWZ. This is a far stretch, but since Dark Aether as a realm is so unknown to us, anything is possible.
  2. Another universe? This is the most intriguing and reasonable thing for the extra Earth in the sky. So, in this new Dark Aether rift we are on Earth. And the other planet in the sky isย another universe. Remember the pages of Kronorium where multiple Earths were aligned to form the multiverse? We have seen this coming when all previous Zombies andย Call of Dutyย multiverse were banished into the Dark Aether. So here we are in the Dark Aether, which could very well be the remaining previous worlds.
  3. Nothing but cosmetics. So far, we haven’t had the best advances in the Zombies story withย MW3. With that in mind, the new Earth in the sky is too much for a simple 24-hour event. So, to keep things in check and not get overhyped, this is probably only a cosmetic Dark Aetherย thingyย to make the environment look new and less Al Mazrahish.

Overall, this is a good thing. It has once again called theย Call of Duty‘s Zombies community to be alive and think about an easter egg that might come with MWZ Season 3 Reloaded. This is what Zombies used to be about before it was turned into an infill and exfil covert mission. Check out the trailer for yourself and see if you can piece together this puzzle.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
