Whether you’re a new Warrior of Light or a veteran one waiting with their ticket for Dawntrail, now’s the perfect time to return to the MMO. If you didn’t know, during the good ol’ “content droughts,” Square Enix hosts the famous Moogle Treasure Trove events for FFXIV, and this time, the Second Hunt for Genesis is on. In it, players can tackle daily, weekly, and event-long challenges to obtain special tomestones and get some of the game’s best mounts and accessories.

How To Participate in the Moogle Treasure Trove – The Second Hunt for Genesis Event in FFXIV

Contrary to other seasonal events, anyone is able to join the Moogle Treasure Trove – The Second Hunt for Genesis Event in FFXIV. All you must do is head to any major city in A Realm Reborn (Limsa Lominsa, Ul’dah, or Gridania) and speak with the Itinerant Moogles to obtain a Mogpendium. After that, you can find this new item under the Collections tab, and to access it easily, you can drag it to any of your action bars. Inside, you’ll notice this event works differently than other Treasure Troves, and instead of only having the same instances to farm over and over, you also have weekly challenges and more.

How To Obtain Irregular Tomestones of Genesis II

During this event, certain instances will reward players with Irregular Tomestones of Genesis II, which you can use to purchase rewards from any of the Itinerant Moogles. This time, however, we have standard, weekly, Minimog, and Ultimog challenges that also reward tomestones upon completion. We’ll go over each instance and challenge here.

Of all the rewards, the earrings are exclusive to this event, while others are obtainable through different means. However, seeing mounts like Gabriel α and Ufiti around makes this event quite appealing for everyone. So, make sure you’ve unlocked all instances and have a high-level character to start farming tomestones like there’s no tomorrow.
