At some point in Roblox Blox Fruits, you’ll make some mistakes. Every player does, whether it’s eating a common Devil Fruit and overriding the best Devil Fruit you had or not allocating your stats right. The mistakes you make will be unanimous among the community, so don’t feel too bad. However, if you’re a new player, the odds of you having these experiences are small. Maybe you can avoid these mistakes in Blox Fruit if you stay a while and listen!

Donโ€™t Be Lazy: Get a Boat

Does this sound like you? Looking out at the horizon, seeing the next island and confidently saying to yourself, โ€œI can totally swim or dash there.โ€ I know I have, and it ended poorly each time.

Do yourself a favor and silence that little voice now. First off, eating a Devil Fruit almost always makes you weak to water. If you try to swim, your health plummets. Sure, if you’re a non-fruit user, that’s not an issue, but even then, your swimming speed is terrible.

The only time you wouldnโ€™t need a boat is if you can fly, and only a few Devil Fruits actually do that in Blox Fruits, so let’s avoid that mistake altogether and travel by boat!

Donโ€™t Spread Out Your Stat Points

I’ve personally made this mistake, so don’t feel bad if you did, too. You likely fall into one of two camps: you were trying different fighting styles or thought being equally good at multiple styles would be a sound strategy. Spoiler Alert: It isn’t.

You’re better off focusing on Melee, Defense, and a combat stat of your choice: Sword, Gun, and Blox Fruit. Melee is a combat stat, too, but you’ll be maxing that regardless of what build you roll with because Melee increases Energy.

You’re better off focusing on one type of combat stat, such as Blox Fruit, Sword, Gun, and Melee. For example, if you’re a fruit user, your points go into Blox Fruit, Defense, and Melee to boost your Energy.

Everything Bad Happens When Youโ€™re Holding an Item

Pirates and marines alike, let me share a very important tip: never hold an item until you know for sure you’re going to use it. The chances of this happening at least once are high, but maybe my advice will help stall it for a while.

When you’re just holding an item, especially a Devil Fruit, for whatever reason, something bad can and will happen to you. Death? You’ll drop the item, so “Goodbye, fruit!” Talk to an NPC? You’ll accidentally eat it. Logging out for the day, disconnect, or get kicked? Well, let’s hope you weren’t holding onto a fruit because it’ll be gone.

Not Setting Your Spawn Point

Been there and done this a thousand times, and you will too until the idea sinks in. If you haven’t, you will at some point. Trust me! Setting your spawn point saves you so much time โ€” time that could be spent grinding the hundreds of levels you need.

If you don’t set your spawn to the island you’re grinding on, you’re going to be sent back to the last one you did, which could potentially be several islands away. The chances you’ll just be killed are high since PvP is a big part of Blox Fruits, so to avoid this mistake, always set your spawn point as soon as you reach the next island.

Forgetting PvP Rules

Speaking of PvP, most of the areas in Blox Fruits have PvP enabled, whether you want it or not (although it can be disabled in specific scenarios). It’s not uncommon for max-level players to just kill low-level players for the fun of it. Toxic camping and griefing isn’t the conversation (although that’s just as bad), but about ensuring PvP is enabled when you need it.

What if you and a friend are grinding, and someone shows up and starts harassing your friend? You do what any friend would do: you jump in to help. However, you won’t be of any use if you forget to enable PVP. Your moves won’t do squat until it is.
