Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been at the center of divorce rumors ever since news broke in May that they’ve been living separately. Despite the speculation surrounding their relationship, the couple appears to be doing fine. In a new interview, the Air actor seemingly hinted he and Lopez are still going strong by saying nothing but good things about her.

During the latest episode of Kevin Hart’s Peacock series, Hart to Heart, Affleck opened up about how his life has changed since rekindling his relationship with the singer in 2021. Although he has always struggled with the attention from the media, Affleck said he’s been thrust into the spotlight a lot more in recent years, and it’s all due to his wife’s fame. While he doesn’t like the attention, Affleck admitted he gets why people go wild for Lopez. “She’s so famous,” he gushed. “People love her. She really represents something important to people.”
Affleck said that fans’ reactions toward seeing him in public versus his wife are so different. However, he doesn’t mind it. In fact, he loves seeing people give Lopez her flowers.

However, there are instances when the attention can get a bit overwhelming. For example, Affleck said the couple and their kids once got mobbed in New York City after fans recognized Lopez on the street. The family had plans to go see a play but were about to be late. Instead of waiting in traffic, they decided it would be faster to get out of their car and walk. As you can imagine, chaos ensued.
We get out with her, all the kids, through Times Square, and the sh*t was like f*cking bananas. I was like,’ Oh my God.’ There was a lady, she was smoking weed, in a full purple skintight suit — she’s a heavy lady — and she starts running backwards filming, going ‘J-LO!!’ Like a herald. Then gets everyone else, they’re all tourists, whatever, just moving. Then I’m moving. We got, like, our five kids, me and Jen, and it’s, it’s like, it feels like hundreds of people and now screaming.

Notably, Affleck referred to Lopez as his “wife” during the interview. Since he also expressed no animosity toward her during the chat, it’s possible the divorce rumors are just bogus.
