In the piece, written by John Mac Ghlionn, Swift’s string of unsuccessful relationships and her decision to be unmarried and childless with her boyfriend Travis Kelce in her mid-30s were cited. Of course, fans went wild after reading the opinion piece.
The article is titled “Taylor Swift Is Not a Good Role Model” was shared by Newsweek. While Ghlionn revealed that the singer’s career and brand are something to be admired, her personal relationships leave her a less than desirable example for young fans.

Fans immediately came to Swift’s defense after reading the post. Many were horrified that the singer was called out for not being married or having children. In addition to seemingly being shamed for her past relationships, per Music Times.
“Of course, this is written by a MAN!” one person commented. “This is a truly disgusting, woman shaming, woman belittling, misogynistic load of bitter trash masquerading as journalism,” another said. “Iโm not a Swiftie and this is the dumbest thing Iโve ever read thatโs been published about her,” a third person wrote.
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce recently showed just how head over heels in love with Taylor Swift he is. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end surprised his girlfriend of a year by appearing at her concert in Dublin. The Super Bowl champ reportedly rushed from a friend’s wedding to fly to Ireland to see the show. Upon seeing him, the singer’s face lit up when she realized that he was in attendance, per People Magazine.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may not be married or have children at this stage of their lives. However, they seem to be going at their own pace and doing what’s best for them. Deeming her a bad role model for living life on her own terms has only angered her fans, and left them praising her even more.
