One of the biggest hurdles in The First Descendant‘s main quest is the Stunning Beauty. She’s a boss in the Void Intercept missions for the Normal difficulty and you might be surprised that she can be a hard boss despite being a main quest objective. Sadly, being in a public squad won’t help if you all keep dying or getting downed by the Stunning Beauty. So here’s how to beat the Stunning Beauty in The First Descendant.

Preparation for the Stunning Beauty

First off, follow the level recommendation for Stunning Beauty. You need level 22 weapons and Descendants (at least) for Stunning Beauty, don’t treat it as an optional metric. In fact, it’s better if you max out your Descendant (40) and weapon proficiency first.

The game will note the boss’ weaknesses and resistances.

  • Fire: Strong
  • Electric: Very Strong
  • Ice: Normal
  • Poison: Very Weak

Stunning Beauty is weak to toxic or poison damage. Sadly, the most accessible Descendant that focuses on that kind of playstyle is Freyna and she can be tricky to rush and level just for Stunning Beauty. So you’re usually going to rely on Toxic damage Modules for your weapons.

Bunny is not ideal for this boss (unless she’s the only one you have) as her Electric skills are more or less useless against Stunning Beauty. Additionally, you will want Descendant Modules that grant Electric Resistance. Most of Stunning Beauty’s attacks are shocking.

The fight with Stunning Beauty is simple once you get to know the mechanics and you don’t have to worry about those three floating metal balls that make the boss invincible. You just have to know where to shoot her. Thus, aim for Stunning Beauty’s parts like:

  • Shoulders
  • Knees

Keep attacking those parts and if they get destroyed, Stunning Beauty will sometimes get stunned and give you openings for more damage.

Beware the Eye

Eventually, she will unleash her most devastating move: a giant eye that will mark some players. Any marked player will receive periodic damage, but here’s a way to avoid damage from Stunning Beauty’s eye:

  • Avoid her line of sight.

That’s it. If you’ve been marked by the eye, run away, take cover, or just avoid her vision before the eye mark turns yellow and attacks you.

When her eye is active, shoot from cover and hide back to avoid her gaze. Shoot the giant eye to damage Stunning Beauty while in this phase. This phase will eventually end and it’s back to shooting shoulders and knees. Make sure to revive downed teammates immediately.

Additionally, either you or other players should prioritize taking down Stunning Beauty’s minions since they drop ammo. After the Giant Eye, it’s a straightforward affair, just shoot it and the fight will be as long as you survive.
