McKayla Maroney has broken her Instagram silence with a series of photos, the latest of which showed off an Amazon purchase she herself deemed “cute.” Posting for her 1.3 million followers last weekend, the Olympic gymnast snapped car selfies as she showed off her summer style, but talk wasn’t only of her apparel as she took to her caption.
Chatting about her accessory to begin with, McKayla moved on to wellness, noting skin issues she’s been suffering and eventually mentioning anxiety. Gymnast McKayla Maroney Delights Instagram With New Photos
Having broken her silence in June after not posting since October 2023, McKayla opened with a car selfie as she showed off a classy look.
Modeling a lightweight blouse with glitter accents, the Gold Medal winner smiled softly into the camera, showcasing her doll-like features as she also wore a wide-brimmed straw hat with a green rim.
Revealing more of her outfit in subsequent selfies, McKayla flashed her toned legs in a pleated miniskirt that highlighted her gymnast figure, with fans also seeing hints of black leather thigh boots. Keeping glam, the brunette accentuated her features with plenty of matte makeup, puckering up with a red lip and also including some motivational quotes in her gallery.
‘Cute’ Amazon Purchase Reveal
Asking fans if they’d enjoyed their weekend, McKayla wrote: “Yes Iโm that girl whoโs gona wear the weird hat everywhere. Iโm a little sorry.. but not enough to change. Thankfully this oneโs kind of cute and has a bow in the back. Amazon.”
Maroney then moaned that despite having worn her headwear all weekend, she’d been left with “3 new little sun spots on my face.” Here, she stated that she’s a “psycho” when it comes to her skin, but there was an uplift as she continued:
“The amount of life skin anxiety has stolen from me is insane. We all have weird strange things weโre anxious and insecure about โ So I guess my point here is, never stop chipping away at working towards healthier mindsets, more balance, and reacting with more love than stress.”
McKayla has often linked health conditions to stress as she encourages fans to tap into their mental well-being. Much like fellow gymnast Aly Raisman, the star is into mindfulness and balance, although for Maroney, her Christian faith is also a part of her daily mindset.
