The Royals had been on their tour of the Channel Islands and were engaging with local Jersey business owner Matt Taylor when their conversation abruptly ended, the New York Post reports. The reason? Reports claim that the Royals were rushed by their security to the nearby Pomme d’Or hotel after it was believed they were in danger. The threat is reported to have been a drone, but the story is still unfolding, and many of the details remain unclear.
Taylor has spoken about the incident and his interaction with King Charles and Queen Camilla in an interview with The Telegraph. “He stopped at the stall and said ‘Ooh sea salt’ and I said ‘Come and have a chat, Sir.’ Then his security appeared and grabbed me and said ‘He has to go, now,’” he recalled. “He didn’t seem panicked, but he was quite stern. They just ushered him out. It’s a shame as he’d stopped to chat to us of his own accord.”

Although the incident happened just hours earlier, there have already been photos of their trip posted online. Pictures of King Charles and Queen Camilla on their travels were shared on the official Royal Family Instagram account. This includes His Majesty meeting with “local exhibitors and community groups on Crown Pier,” per the caption, and a picture of Queen Camilla wearing a stunning bright blue dress.
She appears to have a bandaged foot, although there is no suggestion that this has any relation to the earlier security incident. Fans have expressed their concern for her well-being in the comments. “Wish well for your ankle majesty!!” one comment reads. Another questioned, “How did she hurt her foot?”
