Banda is 18 and lives in New York City’s Bronx suburb (while his mother has an apartment on the Upper East Side), and according to a recent Instagram Live (via Page Six), he doesn’t have enough cash for food.

“It’s lovely to experience it being nine o’clock at night, me being hungry and realizing that I don’t have enough money to get food and scavenging,” he said. “It’s fun to be young.” The fact that he is not relying on his mom’s cash will likely earn him the respect of many fans because he is trying to make it on his own. Banda reportedly gives guitar lessons to supplement his income.
“I love it. I’m not on my own, I’ve got my girlfriend,” he said, adding, “But I love it.” The teen is likely enjoying the peace and quiet as he has grown up in a full household. Madonna has six children. From oldest to youngest are Lourdes, Rocco, David, Mercy, and the twins Stella and Estere. This is a big family but also a loving one, and Banda’s Instagram pictures give a glimpse into his home life.
In a picture (his first on the platform) with a few of his siblings and his popstar mother, he captioned the post with a simple message: “Love the fam,” followed by a red heart emoji. Fans are also incredibly supportive of their family, and the comments on the post have been incredibly positive. Reactions include “Beautiful family,” “What a beautiful family!” and “King.”
