The Summer of gaming isn’t exclusive to, well, actual video games. During HP’s Summer Gaming event, I had the chance to look at some of the new hardware coming for us gamers, and let me tell you, everything is as slick as it can get. From the first customizable OMEN 35L desktop to new HyperX Quadcast 2 peripherals and Alloy Rise keyboards, you’ll want to watch for all these products that will let you create your dream setup.

Let’s begin with what I think was the biggest reveal of the event. The OMEN 35L Desktop isn’t your run-of-the-mill rig for daily gaming. It is a highly customizable PC that puts gamers’ needs above everything else. Nowadays, just having a rig that works isn’t what matters. We need our PCs to look unique, to capture our essence, to be an extension of ourselves. I might be sounding too cheesy there, but as someone who has a color combination for all my setup, this is a big deal.

The greatest thing about this PC is that it is one of the most customizable ones I’ve seen. Allowing upgrades up to RTX 4090 and compatibility with a variety of Intel and AMD processors, you can really build your dream desktop with ease. To give you an idea, here are some of its specs:

  • Front: 2 x 140mm ARGB system fan/
  • Top: up to 240mm LCS or 2x 120mm or 2x
    140mm RGB system fan
  • Rear: 1 x 120mm exhaust fan
  • Up to 240mm CPU liquid cooler radiator
  • Up to 67mm radiator thickness
  • Up to 335mm graphics card support 3-slot design
  • 4x DDR5 memory DIMM slots
  • 2x M.2 PCIe Gen5 SSD slots (1x Gen5 and 1x Gen4)
  • 1x 3.5” storage trays
  • Motherboard industry standard; Micro ATX: 244 x 244mm
  • Up to 160mm ATX power supply support

And the cherry on top of all these things is that OMEN had another announcement to make. For the first time ever, HP’s OMEN Gaming Hub will bring thousands of mobile games to your PC. This is amazing for those who want to continue their mobile adventures at the comfort of their PCs.

For my fellow streamers out there, besides the amazing OMEN 35L desktop, HP also unveiled its HyperX Quadcast 2 and 2 S peripherals. As someone who is always struggling with a microphone setup or buying one that doesn’t have proper noise suppression, I find the new Quadcast 2 amazing. This time, we have two models coming up with small yet significant differences, such as the following:

  • Quadcast 2:
  • 24-bit/96kHz Fidelity
  • Red LED Polar Pattern Indicator
  • Multi-Function Dial
  • Quadcast 2 S:
  • 32-bit/192kHz Fidelity
  • 100+ aRGB LEDs customized by NGENUITY
  • AI Noise Reduction – Through NGENUITY Software

While both of these look great, it is important to choose the one that will adapt to your setup better. Personally, I’d go for the Quadcast 2 S due to it being a bit more customizable, but if the Quadcast 2 adapts better to the type of content you’re doing, that one would be great as well.

Alloy Rise 75 Wireless Keyboard

A setup couldn’t be complete without a proper keyboard, and the Alloy Rise 75 is the perfect addition. With a battery that lasts up to 1500 hours (without lighting the keys) and 80 while backlit, you have not only something that’ll last for a long time but also a keyboard you can fully customize. One of the things I loved while watching the presentation was seeing how easy it was to swap key switches on the fly. Furthermore, you can decide if you want a wireless or wired connection and even swap between three Bluetooth devices when needed.

With the gaming industry evolving so fast, it is great to see HP taking the reins and offering an excellent and future-proof option for PC gamers. While I loved the new Quadcast and Alloy Rise, the OMEN 35L desktop is everything I ever wanted. It is difficult to find a nice rig that is able to support as many components as possible, so this one is perfect for any gamer out there.

If you’re attending Gamescom 2024, HP will have its booth there ready to answer any of your burning questions regarding these fantastic products.
