Does The Crow Have a Post-Credits Scene? Answered

This entry was directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman), and it stars Bill Skarsgård (It) as Eric Draven/The Crow. The Crow also stars musician FKA twigs (Honey Boy) and Danny Huston (Wonder Woman). As it is a reboot and an installment of a cult franchise, you might be wondering if there’s anything after the credits that sets up a sequel. So, let’s see if The Crow has a post-credits scene.

Is There a Post-Credits Scene in The Crow?

If you are itching to leave the theater right when the movie ends, feel free to do so worry-free, because The Crow does not have a post-credits scene. Once the movie ends and the credits begin there are no extra scenes, stingers, or bloopers of any kind. So, if you want to see all the movie has to offer, you can leave the theater as soon as The Crow ends. However, if you choose to watch the credits, right at the very end there is an “In Memory Of” credit, for three people involved with the film who died before its release. 

As for teasing a sequel, the film does end on an open-ended note, leaving the door open for some kind of continuation. However, The Crow is projected to not do well at the box office, so it might be a while before we see Eric Draven again. The film also didn’t do well critically, sitting at 19% on Rotten Tomatoes as of writing. You can read our review of the film above. Skarsgård commented on the film’s ending, which was presumably changed to leave the door open for a sequel. He said to Esquire, “I personally preferred something more definitive.”

Ultimately, if Skarsgård ends up not wanting to come back for a second outing, and the film does not do well at the box office, The Crow might not fly again for a long time. That’s not the worst thing in the world, as we still have five movies, including the 1994 classic to rewatch when we’re feeling overly gothic.
