Kelly Ripa has sparked an immense wave of concern regarding her weight on Instagram. The talk show host, 53, slipped her lithe figure into a polka-dot sundress to accept her prestigious Disney Legend award last month, but fans on social media seemed more interested in discussing her shape than her achievement.
When a fan account dedicated to the Ripa-Consuelos family reposted a snap of Kelly, husband Mark Consuelos, and daughter Lola Consuelos, talk quickly turned to the blonde’s weight. Fans appeared shocked and worried, calling Kelly “too thin” and suggesting that she needs “some meat on her bones.” Some even hoped that the popular TV star wasn’t “sick.” Kelly is known for being super-slim, eating healthy, and working out regularly.

Smiling with Mark and the couple’s 23-year-old daughter Lola, Kelly showed off her slender figure in a chic, summery blue and white sundress.
Rocking floaty accents from frills at the neckline and sleeves, the Live! star flaunted her teeny waist and gym-honed arms while looking fitter than ever. She also kept glam with her signature blonde locks worn down and a white pair of stiletto heels.
Adding a gold chain necklace and unusual arm bangle, Kelly stuck to her beloved preppy style, looking glamorous from head to toe as she enjoyed her big day. Fans, however, are now suggesting that Kelly needs to eat more.
Needs ‘Some Meat On Her Bones’
“Kelly is so thin and looks like a caricature!! Frighteningly thin!!!!” one fan replied. 18 users liked the comment. Meanwhile, over 25 fans agreed when a user wrote:
“She is too too skinny. She always looked so great but she needs some meat in her bones.”
While one fan said that Kelly “doesn’t look good,” another wrote: “Kelly has always been petite and attractive. However, in this particular photo she looks ill and reminds me of the Olsen twins. Hope she is healthy!!”
Amid many other worried remarks, some did come in to shut down the weight talk. “Get over yourselves you mean people. Do you think your opinion about Kellyโs weight is meaningful?” one fan asked. Nonetheless, fans couldn’t help but comment. “That size 0 dress just hangs on her,” a further fan wrote.
Kelly works out with trainer Anna Kaiser, who has revealed the star’s reported 14% body fat, but also shared that her famous client has a sweet tooth. The mom of three, who loves healthy nut butters, oat-filled breakfasts, and the occasional McDonald’s treat, has been training with Anna for well over a decade.
