It’s another bad day for Brittany Mahomes as fans slammed the wife for her Britney Spears-inspired game-day look. On Monday, October 7, Brittany, 28, appeared at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her husband as they played the New Orleans Saints. The mother of two (soon to be three) was spotting bright red leather pants. She also wore a matching jacket, black heels, and carried a jet black bag. For jewelry, the Texas native wore a flashing diamond necklace. As soon as the former soccer player posted her pics to Instagram, fans commented, noting she channeled Brit’s look from the “Oops…I Did It Again” music video. However, the remarks about her attire weren’t all positive.
Brittany Is No Britney: ‘It Looks Awful on Her’
In her Instagram post, Brittany showed off her looks head-to-toe in four separate shots. The first was a simple picture of the blonde beauty smiling in front of a bright red wall. Another photo showed Mahomes strutting down the hall, while the last featured her posing inside an elevator.
Once the pictures began making their rounds, fans jumped into the comments and slammed Brittany Mahomes for getting the look totally wrong. “Did she channel the right Britney?” one user asked in a post on X, while another posed the question: “Is it a pirated Brittany?”
“She looks more like MJ in Thriller,” a third user claimed. “Well, it looks awful on her,” a fourth Britney fan said.
Brittany Mahomes Rubbed People the Wrong Way
It’s unsurprising to see social media users going in on Brittany Mahomes. The Kansas City Chief wife rubbed many people the wrong way in August 2024 after she was seen showing support for presidential nominee Donald Trump online. After facing heat from critics, she clapped back in her Instagram Story, calling those who challenged her “hater(s).”
“I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed, and you hate to see others doing well,” she wrote.
Since then, she’s remained silent on politics; however, it may be too late, which could explain the onslaught of hate she received for her fashion.
