There is no shortage of entitled women out in the world. Unfortunately, there is a stereotype of women, which we will call Karens, that all fit a mold of being incredibly rude for no reason. Fortunately, however, there are also many Karens out there who get the karma they deserve. One such Karen, who is a part of the GymTok (the community name for TikTok members who record themselves at the gym) niche, filmed herself facing the consequences of her own actions while at a gym. It goes to show that no one is safe from the clutches of being reposted to Reddit.
The video shows the Karen in question filming herself at a public gym. Before the video begins, she targets a gentleman across the gym and accuses him of looking at her. Because he is so far away, he gets closer and asks her to repeat herself. That’s is where the video really starts. She immediately begins to escalate the situation, telling him to leave in an incredibly rude manner.
The gentleman then gets closer to her, explaining that nobody was in the gym looking at her at all. Her response was simply that he doesn’t own the gym, implying that he can’t tell her what to do. Of course, she had messed with the wrong person because he reveals that while he doesn’t own the gym, he does work there and can have her trespassed. She continues to respond carelessly, telling him to go ahead and call the police.
She doesn’t seem to take the threat seriously because he politely asks her to take her things to the front while she waits to be escorted out by police. Instead, she decides to stay, which cuts her video short since she does indeed need to be escorted out. Commenters immediately ridiculed the woman’s decisions, from the fact that she targeted a random gym goer,
“Even if he was looking at her, he’s literally across the gym. Does she really expect people to avert their eyes from her general direction from 30 feet away?”
to recording herself in a space where people will inadvertently look at others while working out,
“The most narcissistic thing someone could ever do is set up a camera in an obvious spot, take up a bunch of space flinging your hair around in an area where people are trying to workout and then pretend to be offended when someone looks at you because you are being an asshole. She prob legit thought they were checking her out instead of being annoyed at her existence too.”
To make things even better, the video ends with her being trespassed and her gym membership revoked. Hopefully, she doesn’t try to pull this GymTok stunt at another location.
