As you try to apprehend the real kidnapper in Martira, you must explore the underground dungeon at Kriegante Castle. As you go deeper, you will encounter a massive monster covered in shadows twice. While you may be scared due to its scary large eyes, you will eventually discover this creature’s true identity. Joanna has become insane after losing her baby and has now been feeding children to this human creature. To avoid becoming its next meal, you have to beat Homo Jaluzo or baby boss in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Homo Jaluzo is a Level 30 boss that likes to inflict AoE attacks. Like other human monsters, the baby boss has several body parts that you can target. Initially, you will only be able to attack its main body but you can later hit its eyes. The main body has no weakness, but the eyes are weak against Piercing attacks.

Here is the best team comp you can use during this battle:

  • Protagonist – Magic Seeker
  • Strohl – Gunner
  • Hulkenberg – Magic Knight
  • Heismay – Faker

Since the only weakness you can exploit is, Piercing attacks bringing a Gunner to fight Homo Jaluzo is a good idea. This class can also use special attacks that have a chance to inflict negative status effects. I recommend that Hulkenberg use the Magic Knight class so she can still draw the boss’s attention while using melee attacks.

Hopefully, you have unlocked the Faker class by completing Alonzo’s request to explore the Abandoned Tomb. This Archetype specializes in debuffing enemies which is useful against bosses. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, you can use the Assassin class for Heismay.

The Protagonist can use the Magic Seeker Archetype to be a sub-DPS. However, ensure that he has the Patra skill from the Healer lineage so he can cure Daze from your allies. You can also use the Sulphurous Salts item to remove the status effect.

Once you can attack the baby’s eyes in Metaphor: ReFantazio, I suggest taking out these body parts first to prevent the boss from using a deadly move. Note that Joanna will restore some health in the middle of the battle, which will regenerate the eyes. You can consider ignoring the eyes but ensure that your party can tank the damage from the monster.

Homo Jaluzo will mainly damage you with a single-target bite attack. However, it can use Stare to inflict Daze on a party member. Its move dangerous move is called Jumping Playtime. Luckily, it will need to power up first, so this will give you a chance to move your team to the back row and guard themselves.
