Kelly Ripa has sparked weight comments on her Instagram as she gets into gear for a workout with husband Mark Consuelos. The talk show host, 54, included her co-host husband in an energetic resistance band workout on Sunday, one highlighting her impossibly petite waistline and toned muscles as she rocked a skimpy crop top.
Displaying the figure that’s a result of regular gym sessions with trainer Anna Kaiser, Kelly bulked herself up even more as she ran around with Mark using bands to hold her back, but not everyone was joking in the comments. Kelly, who has been sparking the odd weight-related remark in 2024, had one fan saying that she has no “muscle,” although users defending the blonde quickly jumped in. Kelly is known for being a workout queen and even trained as a ballet dancer in her youth.

Looking like she was having fun, Kelly ran across a luxurious pebble-paved terrace leading onto a lounger-wrapped pool. Glowing in the sunshine, the Live! host kept her look teeny, wearing a strappy black crop top and tight leggings as she reminded her fans of her shredded frame.
Up for a challenge as her attempt to run was somewhat limited by the bands Mark was holding, Kelly had her 1996-married husband chasing after her, although it looks like she came out a winner. Kelly wore a ponytail hairdo and sneakers, making her toward someone sunbathing and back.
The video opened a gallery of sporty-themed slides, some of which included Kelly and Mark’s sons Joaquin and Michael. The TV couple is also parents to a daughter named Lola.
Getting Told She Needs ‘Muscle’
In a caption, Kelly told her followers: “Congratulations to all the @nycmarathon runners today! Here we are all individually practicing because hey, you never know.”
Quick to comment on Kelly’s slender frame, one user skinny-shamed the star, saying: “She needs muscle I’m sorry….” Over 20 others agreed with the comment.
The comments section turned into a storm, though, as users replied to say that Kelly is the opposite of someone needing muscle. “Sheโs literally all lean muscle?!” one said. “She has lots of muscles. Kelly is very lean with amazing arms. I only wish,” another wrote. The fan may have been recalling the above photo of Kelly in a red dress.
Kelly had made 2019 headlines for referring to her body as a “Peter Pan” one while speaking with The Cut. In her reveal, the former actress spoke of loving SoulCycle and walks in Central Park, also divulging her caffeine routine that includes a bullet coffee and Starbucks on-set.
Others reacted positively. Sending Kelly love, one fan replied: “Your body is amazing!!! Look like you are in your 20โs!!!!” Kelly is likely paying no attention to the trolls.
