Meghan McCain is calling out her former colleagues of The View after their reaction to Donald Trumpโs win over Kamala Harris. Before her dramatic exit in 2021, McCain was the major voice for conservatives and Republicans. However, she believes the show didn’t provide a worthy replacement since her exit.
The former co-host took to X to slam the show for not having a single panelist who voted for President-elect Trump in the 2024 elections. โIt is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn’t one single conservative woman on The View this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn’t repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular,โ she wrote. Angry fans agreed with the daughter of late Senator John McCain, urging for the cancelation of the show. โThatโs why itโs called โThe View;โ They only accept the received view,โ one fan mocked.
After McCainโs exit,ย Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former White House staffer under the Trump administration, joined the show. However, during the election episode, she revealed that she cast her vote for Kamala Harris. โFor the first time in my life, I voted for a Democrat,โ Griffin, a staunch Republican, confessed. She joins the rest of the panelists โ Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, and Sara Haines โ who all voted for the vice president.
Meghan McCain Once Predicted Kamala Harrisโs Victory

McCainโs rant comes a day after the women of The View expressed their disappointment about the election results. Most of the women shared similar views, with Behar, who kicked the discussion off, saying she โvehemently disagreesโ with the results. Hostin, a known critic of Trump, was emotional when she revealed his win made her โprofoundly disturbed.โ While lamenting Trumpโs โunfettered power,โ Hostin said:
โI worry not about myself, actually. I worry about the working class and my mother, a retired teacher.โ
She further urged that the โconvicted felon boxโ on job application forms should be scrapped. Navarro, who was part of Harrisโ team, said Trumpโs victory made her โvery disappointed and very sad.โ As for Goldberg, she complained about people not coming out to vote for Harris. The Sister Act star noted that she wonโt still ever mention the president-electโs name โ a vow she made years back.ย
Despite being a longtime Republican, McCain has been vocally critical of Trump, even revealing in September that she would not be voting for either candidate. However, a month before her confession, she predicted the Vice Presidentโs victory. After Donald Trump declared that he pulled a bigger crowd at his January 2021 rally than MLKโs famous โI Have a Dreamโ speech, McCain lost it. She wrote at the time, โVice President Harris is going to win. Is Trump trying to lose?โ
