However, fans think it is just a cover for a broken marriage.
A Mar-a-Lago insider shared Melania’s unusual plans for her husband’s second term as the President of the United States. “Melania will be the first lady, but only on her terms,” the informant explained. Speaking to The New York Post, the source noted that the Slovenian native would split her time between New York, Florida, and Washinton D.C., while Donald is in office. Her reason for this is to spend more time with her only son, Barron Trump.
The teenager, who turned 18 earlier this year, cast his first vote on November 5. He is a freshman at New York University’s Stern School of Business, which is not far from the Trump Towers in Manhattan, where he lives. Despite the couple’s only child being quite of age, Melania reportedly wants to be “the hands-on mother to Barron that she is.” So what does this mean for Melania’s duty as First Lady?
“She’ll do the big events. But no ladies’ tea and no — or very few — interviews,” says the source. “She views winning as the main show, and the rest she’ll do as she pleases.“
The informant continued, “She’s really in the driver’s seat as to her duties at the White House. Melania will be a part-time First Lady — while being a full-time mother and wife.”

Following reports of Melania’s unique First Lady schedule, conspiracy theories emerged online, speculating that her decision to be with Barron is only an excuse to spend less time with her husband. It is no news that Melania and Donald are one of the least affectionate First Couples, with the former model often dodging his kisses and hand during public events.

Recall that during the first five months of Donald’s first term in 2017, Mrs. Trump lived in New York so that Barron, who was 11 years old at the time, could wrap up school.
