Paris Hilton is a hero who doesn’t wear a cape, and she is building legacies with her traumatic childhood. The celebrity DJ updated the public on her efforts to get the House of Representatives to enact the child abuse bill. Hilton previously lent her voice to stop institutional child abuse by sharing her story before Congress.

The mother-of-two uploaded a copy of her open letter on her Instagram, letting the public into her heroic deeds. The icon revealed that speaking about her childhood struggles is the hardest yet most powerful thing she has done. She noted that as an occupant of a youth residential treatment facility, she endured several sexual and physical abuse. Hilton disclosed that the experience stripped her of her dignity, and no one believed her when she spoke up.

The fashion enthusiast admitted that she lived with the weight of the traumas, which caused her nightmares for years. According to her, finding her voice began the chapter of her healing, which made her start advocating for change. Hilton expressed that, through her years of work, she has met many “brave survivors” who have inspired her. The star affirmed that it was impossible to “see these children as statistics,” emphasizing that she identified with them.

Paris Hilton’s Plea to the House of Representatives

She noted her relief when the Senate passed the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act last Wednesday, December 11th. The actress declared they could “create real, meaningful change” now that the act was passed. Hilton reminded the parliament that the journey is not over, and the House must finish what the Senate started. She noted that passing the bill would be a testament to achieving greatness by leading with “empathy and courage.” Hilton accompanied her powerful post with an equally powerful caption acknowledging:

“Silence doesn’t heal—it protects the people that caused the harm. The U.S. Senate unanimously passed the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act. Now, it’s time for the House of Representatives to pass my bill THIS WEEK.”

Hilton urged every member of the House to “think of the children who can’t speak for themselves.” She emphasized that the vulnerable children rely on the lawmakers to pull all their strings on the matter. “Let’s turn pain into purpose and protect the most vulnerable among us,” the socialite concluded. The socialite’s post garnered multiple reactions from her celebrity friends and thousands of fans in the comments. Her family, including Timmy Hilton and Kathy Hilton, applauded her incredible achievements in the comment section.

Hilton’s progress in standing up for abused kids in the system has been tremendous and admirable. We reported that the business mogul showed up in Washington, DC, to lend her voice against institutional child abuse. She condemned the harsh disciplinary methods such as restraints and seclusion and advocated for more helpful methods. Hilton rallied for bettering the foster home and other childcare institutions to hold them accountable and better protect children.

The DJ admitted to experiencing sexual abuse from staff and was often force-fed medications. She recalled staff exposing her to inhumane treatments like physically restraining her and dragging her through hallways. Hilton’s isolating and traumatic abuse experience left a lasting impact on her life, and the struggle has not stopped. The star exposed how staff at the facilities brainwash parents, that the kids lie and manipulate them.

Hilton clamored for reauthorizing Title IV-B and upholding the Bill of Rights for children. The hotel heiress condemned the institutions as parent-approved kidnapping, supposedly aimed to cure her teenage rebellion. These institutions often hide under noble labels like therapeutic boarding boarding schools, military-style boot camps, and behavior-modification programs.

Paris Hilton is on the way to etch her name in the sands of time!
