The Hollywood veteran joined the growing list of celebrities who have lost their homes to the raging inferno. While sharing his story in an interview with CNN, he broke down, but got trolled for his emotional reaction.
During the virtual interview, the Oppenheimer executive producer fought back tears, as seen in a video shared on X. Despite his best effort to address the loss of his home without crying, his emotions eventually overwhelmed him. Woods choked up while recalling his wife’s 8-year-old niece’s response to the tragedy, saying:
“One day you’re swimming in the pool, and the next day it’s all goneโฆShe came out with her little Yeti piggy bank for us to rebuild our house.”
“I thought I would be stronger than this,” Woods continued as he wiped the tears from his eyes. The video received mixed reactions from fans, with some sympathetic while others believed he had been punished. An X user highlighted a mean comment that read: “James Woods house is burning down. It’s Karma calling.”
Woods’ supporter slammed the commenter for attacking a man who lost his home. Others echoed similar sentiments, with someone writing, “These comments are absolutely disgusting and show the true colors of the libtards.” Another claimed the troll proved their point about leftists being “evil to the core!”
Firefighters Are Working Around the Clock To Contain the Palisades Wildfire
The tragic wildlife began its rampage across the Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Tuesday, January 7, causing numerous damages. We covered that many have been forced to evacuate their homes as the fire tore through the neighborhood. However, firefighters refused to back down and worked around the clock to contain the inferno.
Evidence of their valiant efforts to stop the wildlife from spreading went viral on Reddit. The video detailed the moment a helicopter contained the flames on the leafy side of the Hollywood Hills. The pilot expertly dropped the aircraft’s payload of water on the spreading fire, reducing the blaze’s intensity in seconds.
The perfect drop received multiple comments from Reddit users, with someone declaring, “That’s the most bullseye one I’ve ever seen!” Another echoed similar sentiments, hailing the pilot’s skill, while a third applauded all firefighters as “true heroes.” Meanwhile, some Redditors argued that an aircraft had dropped the water, not a helicopter.
It was not uncommon to see helicopters dropping water on wildfires, given the unfavorable ground conditions. However, the video resonated with many because it was rare to see a water drop effectively put out raging flames. Unfortunately, it might take more hazardous journeys before the Palisades wildfires are over.
According to the video, the fire on the Hollywood Hills was contained around 4 am local time on Thursday morning. However, residents might not see significant improvement in the ongoing disaster until “early Friday morning.” With firefighters consistently fighting to stop the wildfires, hopefully, the Pacific Palisades will survive this catastrophe.
