Activision is showing empathy with the people impacted by the ongoing LA wildfires by introducing a new bundle to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone‘s store page. Now this might sound a little odd since bundles and microtransactions deliver a message of greediness of the company, but things are different this time around.
According to a recent post by Activision, a new bundle named LA Fire Relief Pack has been added to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, while %100 of the proceeds will be given directly to the Los Angeles Fire Department and Direct Relief. Aside from this in-game purchase, Activision has also announced that they’re donating $1 million to help support the people and lives impacted by this heartbreaking incident.
The bundle costs 2400 CP, which would translate into $19.99, but fans seem to be a bit hesitant on whether Activision actually does donate all the revenue. “This is cool and all, but I better see PROOF that all the money was actually donated,” says one of the users under the Treyarch’s repost. Speaking of which, Activision and Infinity Ward have both closed the comments section of their related posts for unknown reasons.
Back to the Black Ops 6 bundle, ForwardLeaksAlt has managed to find the base version of it which seems to be a different deal turned into the LA Fire Relief Pack. Now the interesting part is that the bundle is only available to buy with CoD points, which is an in-game currency, and the fact that this Black Ops 6 bundle was leaked before the LA Wildfires started.
By purchasing the LA Relief Pack bundle in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, you’ll receive an operator skin for Payne, two weapon blueprints for the AK-74 and SWAT 5.56, a gun screen, an emblem, a weapon sticker, and a spray.
