Hell’s Kitchen Sous Chef Michelle Tribble has shared some shocking news about her career. After working with Gordon Ramsay for several years, Tribble has decided to go a different direction and fans are shocked after finding out about her new job.
Michelle Tribble Announces Her New Job
Michelle Tribble was one of a few chefs who has been invited to work with Gordon Ramsay North America (GRNA) following her appearance on Hell’s Kitchen. Only a few chefs from the competition show have been invited to work with Ramsay on that level. A few of them have also returned, like Michelle did, to work on Hell’s Kitchen as a sous chef.
Season 10 winner Christina Wilson also returned to be a sous chef for the red team on the reality show. Now, she and Tribble have something in common. They’ve both decided to leave GRNA.
Last week, Michelle Tribble took to LinkedIn to share some exciting news about a new job. She wrote, “I am excited to share that I have started a new position as Associate Manager, Ops – New Product Development at KFC!”
Many of Tribble’s colleagues expressed their well wishes in the comments. One person wrote, “Congrats! Im watching you in HK S23. Its just sad to see both you and Chef Christina had left GRNA back in December :(.” Tribble responded, “Don’t be sad! I was ready for a new environment and everyone at GRNA was supportive of that. On to the next adventure!”
Hell’s Kitchen Fans React to Michelle’s Latest Move
Fans were surprised to learn of the Hell’s Kitchen star’s new career move as well. Reddit was full of critics, doubting Chef Michelle’s latest decision. “Seems like kind of an odd choice,” one person wrote. “I’m not a huge fan but I’m pretty sure she’s better than KFC ideas.” A second person lamented, “She left Ramsay for KFC?!?!?!”
Another fan pointed out, “It’s a pretty cozy corporate job compared to running a kitchen.” Several others speculated that GRNA may have a toxic work environment, pointing out that Christina Wilson left recently as well for “personal reasons.” They also said that Tribble’s response on LinkedIn pointed to a potentially toxic workplace as well. “You can’t look at the attrition at Gordon restaurants and tell me that’s healthy,” one Redditor commented.
That said, many people are wondering who the next sous chef on Hell’s Kitchen might be, provided it is renewed for Season 25. The 24th season has already been filmed, and it is assumed that Michelle Tribble was the sous chef for the red team throughout the season. But who will take her place now that she left GRNA?
Folks on Reddit had several suggestions of winners from previous seasons. Of course, it’s all speculation at this point. Who would you like to see return to Hell’s Kitchen?
