For the creative minds

Roblox is full of fun, whacky games, like Slap Battles, but there are also numerous experiences for your kids to stretch out their creative skills. In fact, these games are perfect for getting a feel for the arts to testing whether or not your child actually wants to follow a certain path, like animation and fashion. The next time your creative kid shows an interest in the arts, show them these Roblox games (and maybe join in on the fun, too).

My Movie

If your kids have any interest in animation or even just telling stories, My Movie is so easy to dive right into because it doesnโ€™t take any ounce of artistic ability. Rather than draw, you pull from an exhausting list of images to stretch, shrink, and position however you want. There are even sounds you can add to any text, too.

The fun part, according to my youngest son, is being able to share movies with other Roblox players. Once youโ€™re finished, you can publish them, and theyโ€™ll play in the gameโ€™s main hub, where other players can hang out and watch it on the big screen. Itโ€™s really cute, and players can comment and like. And if you want, you can collaborate on projects, too!

Dress to Impress

For the kids who love dressing up and playing pretend, Dress to Impress is a dream game. There are a ton of outfits to mix and match, plus accessories like purses, scarves, jewelry, shoes, backpacks, sunglasses, and so on. You can change the colors, textures, and for some, the clothing is segmented, which means certain parts are removable, like removing the ruffles from a top.

While you are welcome to go nuts and make your own outfits from scratch, Dress to Impress also has a runway game mode. Youโ€™re given a theme and are meant to create an outfit based on said theme, go on the runway, strike a pose, and other Roblox players get to rate your outfit.

Bloxburg

On the surface, Bloxburg is one of many life sim roleplaying games, like Brookhaven and Royal High. You can dress up, make money at a job, and just play out your fantasy persona. Thatโ€™s creative in and of itself, but Bloxburg goes one step further by giving you the freedom to build your very own house.

In other words, Bloxburg is like The Sims lite, using prefabs and shapes to build your dream home. There are also a bunch of decorative items to fill said house. Players get pretty intense with their ideas, from modest homes to mansions to multi-floor hotels.

Free Draw

Free Draw takes the basic tools of Microsoft Paint, throws a bunch of Roblox players together and gives them a massive canvas to draw on. Players can work with multiple layers, adjust pencil thickness and transparency (the latter of which is good for shading), and more. When you take a step back, itโ€™s like one, big collage, and the end product looks awesome.

More importantly, Free Draw has very strict rules against inappropriate art and griefing. Thereโ€™s actually an in-game feature that lets players vote to kick someone out if theyโ€™re causing problems for everyone else, as well as Robloxโ€™s report system.

Theme Park Tycoon 2

The majority of Roblox tycoon games boil down to stepping on buttons and the games spawn predetermined buildings and doodads. Normally, you donโ€™t have any say in how your creation looks. Thatโ€™s not the case with Theme Park Tycoon 2.

You have creative freedom in how your theme park looks, right down to the design of your rollercoasters, the layout of your theme park, even the attractions. And hey, you can even ride your own creations and visit other playersโ€™ theme parks and rate them.
