Just when I thought the world cannot get any more bizarre, Donald Trump proves me wrong. His latest post on his social media platform, Truth Social, re-posted on Reddit, shows Trump’s bizarre, unhinged vision for “Trump Gaza”. The war-torn territory is bizarrely portrayed as an affluent holiday location full of dancing women, golden sands and a giant, golden Trump statue. No, it doesn’t seem to be satire. And yes, it is unbelievable.
The extraordinary video, clearly AI-generated, begins by “showing” Gaza in 2025. It portrays the war-torn streets, full of rubble and armed people. Then the US-colored slogan “WHATS NEXT?” pops up, and things take a turn for the truly surreal.
The ruined streets morph into a beautiful seaside resort, full of golden sands, palm trees and dazzling sunshine. An AI-generated facsimile of Elon Musk eats with a big grin on his face, followed by what appear to be bearded women dancing on a beach. That’s a sentence I never thought I’d write.
Things only get weirder as a scene shows a boy holding a giant, gold-colored balloon on Trump’s head. An AI version of the US president himself follows, dancing with a scantily-clad woman that most definitely isn’t Melania Trump. Then we see Elon Musk dancing as dollar bills rain down from the sky as people applaud his greed.
Finally, we see envisioned glimpses of “Trump Gaza.” There’s a gaudy hotel, a giant golden statue of the president, and a gift shop teeming with tacky Trump memorabilia. I wish I was making this up, but I’m not.
To conclude, the video shows the astonishing image of (you guessed it) an AI-generated Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu lying side-by-side on sun loungers. Poolside, they sip their drinks, presumably congratulating each other. A commenter echoed my sentiments: “I feel like I’m living in a f****** fever dream.”
Honestly, I’m still not sure if someone hacked Trump’s Truth Social account. This is so bizarre it surely must be satire. As one Redditor begged, “Please tell me this is satire.” Others questioned the religious and moral implications. “Is Trump actually the Anti-Christ??” one user asked. Envisioning a golden statue in the middle of Gaza is certainly something. Another commenter suggested Musk “sent him this slop.” Whoever was responsible, I still can’t quite believe Trump thought,” Great – ship it.”
