Diddy‘s legal team found a loophole in Tony Buzbee’s filing, and their attempt to milk it has put him in line for more criticism. The embattled rapper’s lawyers claimed the attorney should not be filing any case against him in a federal court. Why? The rapper’s legal team explained that Buzbee was not licensed to practice in the district.
For context, Buzbee filed 22 cases against Diddy in federal court for the Southern District of New York. Buzbee could have rectified it by filing a pro hac vice for permission to practice in the district. Diddy’s team claimed he had already filed the 22 lawsuits before a judge signed his pro hac vice. Diddy claims Jay-Z and his attorneys noted this last fall when they sued Buzbee for extortion.
The rapper’s lawyers added that Buzbee was even denied admission to the Southern District of New York. The Chair of the Committee on Grievances noted that he had been filing cases without prior authorization. Buzbee has filed a pro hac vice, but Diddy opposes it, claiming Buzbee’s misconduct warrants denial of this privilege. Per TMZ, Buzbee allegedly violated New York’s Rules of Professional Conduct by insisting Diddy is guilty of federal charges.

As usual, social media spaces have buzzed since Diddy showed his hand. This user wrote beneath an X post, “This MF is always pointing the finger to others!! That’s WHAT GUILTY PPL DO! Blame everyone else! Diddy is garbage and hope he stays there! When are you going to look into the big murder? Which puff had a hand in all for money!” Another commenter prefers to leave things in the hands of the court of law to decide. A more honest poster informed the rapper of his fate, noting, “Hey diddy, you’re f-ckd don’t worry about it.”
A fourth spectator wondered what would happen to “all the improper things Diddy did.” The music mogul also recently took legal action against NBCUniversal. In Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, the record producer was accused of killing his ex-wife Kim Porter.
The rapper accused the network of being malicious with their murder accusation. He expressed deep regret over the portrayal of his relationship with Porter in the documentary. Diddy explained that he would never have harmed her or caused her death. He referred to Porter as “the love of his life” while acknowledging the circumstances surrounding her passing.
Diddy Screams Zero Foul Play in Kim Porter’s Sudden Death
He emphasized that the L.A. County Coroner confirmed Porter died of natural causes, with no foul play. Diddy expressed his frustration towards NBC for perpetuating a misleading narrative. The rapper also criticized a documentary that contributed to conspiracy theories on YouTube regarding his involvement in others’ deaths.
The viral narrative suggests it was not strange Porter and others in the rapper’s circle died. The documentary also covered allegations against Diddy regarding sex-related crimes. The plaintiffs claimed he slept with minors in the past, but Diddy trashed the accusations as untrue. The music mogul noted that the allegations arose from a civil lawsuit where someone claimed they watched him with two girls.
He emphasized that these allegations have been discredited by the women, who are now in their 30s. The women also confirmed that they were adults at the time of their encounter with him. Given these circumstances, the music mogul demanded $100 million in damages.
