White House border czar Tom Homan revealed that the Trump administration has identified the person responsible for leaking information about a major ICE raid targeting Tren de Aragua gang members in Aurora, Colorado, on February 5. The leak disrupted what was planned to be a significant operation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) against the Venezuelan gang.
Appearing on Fox News with Sean Hannity, Homan confirmed that the investigation into the leak is making progress. When asked about the search for the individual who alerted the gang before ICE’s arrival, Homan responded, โYes, made progress. We know who leaked the Aurora, Colorado, operation that is under investigation as we speak.โ
However, Homan did not share further details about the identity of the leaker or the potential consequences they could face.
In addition to discussing the Aurora incident, Homan shared that he was scheduled to meet with Department of Justice officials to address a troubling issue: the doxxing of ICE officers in Los Angeles. Flyers were posted showing the faces and names of four officers, urging the public to be on the lookout for them. One of the flyers read: โCAREFUL WITH THESE FACESโ and criticized ICE and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for their policies, accusing them of racially terrorizing communities and separating families.
โThese armed agents work in Southern California. ICE and HSI racially terrorize and criminalize entire communities with their policies,โ the flyer claimed, continuing, โMany people have died while locked up in jails, prisons, and detention centers.โ
Homan described the doxxing as a serious obstruction of law enforcement work and emphasized the need for accountability. “I think thatโs crossed the line of impediment, and I hope the Department of Justice agrees with me so we find out whoโs doing it. Hopefully, we can prosecute them,โ Homan stated. โWeโre not going to be bullied. Weโre not going to be intimidated. What weโre going to do in these cities โ weโll double the manpower. Weโll flood those neighborhoods with DEA, ATF, FBI, ICE. Weโll double the effort. Weโll increase worksite enforcement operations in those communities. Weโre not going to play a game with these people.โ
Hannity suggested that Attorney General Pam Bondi might address the doxxing as a major legal issue in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem made a significant announcement, confirming that several DHS employees have been fired for leaking information, though she did not specify whether the Aurora leak was among them. โI have found some leakers. We are continuing to get more. They will be fired. There will be consequences. Remember, when they leak information to the press in order to blow an op, they are putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy,โ Noem said during an appearance on Hannity. โThey are risking their lives and putting their families in the position where they have to live without those individuals any further. So, you bet we have used every tactic that we have.โ
