Justin Timberlake’s Columbus concert was canceled just minutes before it was set to begin. The singer shared the shocking news on Instagram, explaining he was forced to back out from his latest tour stop due to the flu. While the last-minute notice was enough to frustrate fans, they were even more furious, considering the show had already been postponed.
Justin Timberlake Cancels Columbus Concert After Catching the Flu
Justin Timberlake’s Columbus concert was originally set to take place last fall. However, the pop star announced he had to reschedule it, along with five other shows, after finding himself suddenly sick from bronchitis and laryngitis. The postponed dates, which were moved to February 2025, were expected to be the final stops on his Forget Tomorrow world tour. Sadly, after performing five of the six concerts, Timberlake revealed he had gotten sick yet again, leaving him with no other option but to cancel the Columbus stop for the second time.
“You guys, I’m heartbroken,” he wrote on Instagram on Thursday, Feb. 27. “I have to cancel the show tonight.” Timberlake explained he did his best to make things work. He even tried to do soundcheck. After realizing the flu was too much for him to handle during practice, he knew he wouldn’t be able to get on stage for the real concert. The cancellation weighed heavily on him since Columbus fans had waited months for the new date. “It kills me to disappoint you and my team who worked so hard to make this show happen,” he said.
Justin Timberlake ended his message by reassuring attendees they’ll be getting full refunds for their tickets. “I love you all,” he said.

Fans React to the News
Some fans sympathised with the singer. They told Timberlake that it wasn’t his fault and that he should get some rest. After all, he hasn’t wrapped up his Forget Tomorrow world tour just yet. However, other fans weren’t so understanding. They criticized the pop star for giving such a last-minute notice for the cancellation. “That’s BS,” one fan reacted. “So p*ssed,” another wrote. “He’s an ***hole,” read another comment.
One person wasn’t even surprised over the announcement. “What was his excuse this time?” they asked, clearly frustrated with his string of cancelled concerts recently.
The Forget Tomorrow World Tour Has Experienced Several Bumps
Justin Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow world tour has had several mishaps over the past few months. Apart from the singer repeatedly getting sick, Timberlake has suffered from back problems while on the road. His condition has forced him to either postpone or cancel certain concerts.
On top of that, Timberlake made headlines in December for experiencing an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on stage. Last June, he was also arrested for driving while intoxicated. The incident became a huge internet meme over his reported conversation with authorities. “This is going to ruin the tour,” Timberlake told cops during his arrest, according to Page Six.
After so many negative incidents, Justin Timberlake may want fans to forget his tour after all.
