From March 4th to March 11th, Diablo 4 will have an influx of goblins spawning all over Sanctuary, from every corner of the map, to every dungeon, realm, and World Tier in an event called March of the Goblins. And best of all? There are new goblins to hunt and will stick around permanently in Diablo 4 after the event ends. Here’s what you need to know about March of the Goblins!
Diablo 4: How to Start the March of the Goblins Event

Once Diablo 4 is up-to-date and you log in—Eternal or Seasonal, it doesn’t matter—you’ll automatically be participating in the March of the Goblins event. However, you should head over to Kyovashad.
From the waypoint, take a look at your map and you’ll see there’s a new icon available—a shield with a star. If you hop on over to it, you’ll find the Altar of the Goblins. Interacting with the altar will open a reputation board, similar to Coven’s Favor featured in Season of Witchcraft.
How to Earn Reputation During March of the Goblins
Earning reputation during March of the Goblins in Diablo 4 is simple: kill any and all goblins you come across. Your reputation bar will rise, tiers will unlock, so come back to the Altar of the Goblins every now and then to collect your rewards. The final reward is Fedric’s Gift, which is guaranteed to grant a Resplendent Spark.
One last thing: Greed Shrines will appear more frequently during March of the Goblins. When you see them, make sure to clear the area of demons before you activate it. Goblins can and will spawn from them, and you wouldn’t want those little scamps escaping.
All New Goblins Added in Diablo 4: March of the Goblins

Just like in Diablo 3, D4 now has a multitude of different goblins, each of which drop different types of rewards on death.
- Curious Murl Goblin: Purple in color. Upon death, will drop Murmuring Obols.
- Fancy Old Fedric: Pink in color, and the rarest of them all. If you’re lucky to kill Fedric, you’ll get a Mythic Unique and a Resplendent Spark!
- Gelatinous Syrus Goblin: Blue in color, and will split into multiple goblins when killed. Upon death, will drop Elixirs, boss materials, gold, and Legendary items.
- Gilded Baron Goblin: Shines like gold. Upon death, will drop a bunch of gold.
- Glittering Prym Goblin: Shines white like a diamond. Upon death, drops Scattered Prisms, Undercity Tributes, Gem Fragments, and Runes.
- Odious Ector Goblin: Green in color. Will drop crafting materials and Obducite upon death.
Now get out there are kill some goblins! And remember: even after the March of the Goblins ends, these new goblins will still appear in Diablo 4.
