Berner, whose dream has always been to interview Megan, lamented the outcome of her words. She acknowledged her faults and apologized to the rapper while thanking everyone for educating her about her mistakes. However, it remains to be seen how fans will react to her remorseful stance.

The drama began when Berner and her Giggly Squad podcast co-host Paige DeSorbo’s interview with Megan went viral on TikTok. The video captured the pair unable to control themselves, showing little to no poise, unlike their reactions to other celebrities. They kept talking over the rapper while speaking in platitudes.
When DeSorbo said she always starts her day with Megan’s music, Berner cut in with an awkward comment. “Your music has literally, like, made me … when I want to fight someone, I listen to your music,” she quipped. The rapper did not like the statement and immediately told the comedian to “throw that fighting sh-t out the window.”
Berner did not seem to get the hint and kept talking about violence. “When people are talking sh-t, I go, ‘Turn on Megan Thee Stallion!'” she added while jumping up and down. Her insensitive comments continued as she asked Megan about her 2024 Amazon documentary, indirectly referencing her 2020 shooting, per HuffPost.

Megan’s refusal to have her music associated with violence might stem from being an alleged victim of Tory Lanez’s shooting. The latter was sentenced to 10 years for the incident, with her documentary detailing the trauma she endured. Fans echoed similar sentiments in their arguments about Berner’s behavior, calling her a “racist” for her insensitive comments.
“This felt so racist. And they didn’t let her finish most of her sentences,” a TikToker pointed out. Another agreed, writing, “Very microaggressive. Meg’s music isn’t about fighting, and the fangirling is a spectacle.” Ericka Hart, a former professor at the Columbia School of Social Work, shared the same view on Instagram.
She called out Berner and DeSorbo for “racist” behavior, stressing that they did not treat white celebrities as rudely. The interview drama comes months after We covered Megan’s restraining order against Lanez. In December, the Mamushi hitmaker accused the Canadian rapper of using third parties to harass her from prison.
