Texas Man Googled ‘Can I Kill an Illegal Human?’ Before Shooting His Mexican Fiancé: ‘Anyone Want To Guess Who This Guy Voted For?’

The answer is “no,” right, Google?

Google has always been the most widely used search engine for online users around the world — from students to employees and, in some cases, murderers. As alarmingly unbelievable as that might sound, Texas resident Ty Vaughn has been put on a $500K bond for shooting his fiancé, Luis Banos Norberto. The murder took place back in January of this year, but Vaughn had yet to become a suspect. However, when searching through his search history on his phone, police investigators discovered that Vaughn googled the chilling question: “Can I kill an illegal human?“

Vaughn had reportedly shot Norberto at 4 in the morning before texting his dead boyfriend minutes later with, “Babe? Babe why are you not texting back?!?!” It wasn’t until an hour and a half later that the killer called the police to report the incident, framing Norberto’s death as a suicide. Before his arrest, ABC13 had asked Vaughn if he’d spoken to Norberto on the day of his ‘alleged suicide,’ to which Vaughn replied, “I don’t know. The police know all the details.” When asked what the police told him, he again said, “I don’t know.” When the interview ended, he concluded with a suspicious and uncaring: “I mean, it is what it is.”

This all “reads like a really bad made for TV movie,” remarks a top comment on Reddit. “Seriously. This guy did a google search hoping to learn it’s okay to kill someone as long as they’re in the country illegally?” questions another baffled user. “No such thing as illegal humans,” notes another. Needless to say, more than a handful of commenters were readily certain that this murder had political motivations. “Hey, anyone want to guess who this guy voted for?” sarcastically questions a Redditor. “Ladies and gentlemen, here’s MAGA,” chimes in a second.

It’s hard not to consider Vaughn as a possible Trump supporter when Vaughn “repeatedly mentioned” Norberto’s immigration status without even being asked about it. On top of being a cold-blooded killing, the rather sick and twisted part of Vaughn’s crime was that he propped up his dead lover on their bed with the murder weapon to make it seem like Norberto shot himself. The Texan even tore up a photo of him and his Mexican boyfriend before placing the pieces nearby as possible ‘evidence.’ Highly disturbing.
