Senator Mark Kelly and Elon Musk‘s recent clash has several X users rooting for the billionaire businessman. The drama between the senior United States senator from Arizona and the tech mogul stemmed from the Ukraine-Russian war. Kelly revealed he recently visited Ukraine and implored U.S. citizens to stand with the country.
He noted what he witnessed there proved the U.S. should continue to support Ukrainians despite calls for peace. In Kelly’s opinion, the war must end on terms that favored Ukraine’s security and not “a giveaway to Putin.” However, his points did not resonate with Musk, who labeled the senator a “traitor.”
Kelly responded to his comment in a separate tweet, slamming Musk as someone with no right to judge him. “Traitor? Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is a basic tenet of what makes America great and keeps us safe, maybe you should leave it to those of us who do,” the politician quipped.
X Users Support Elon Musk’s Stance Against Senator Mark Kelly
Kelly might have believed he ate Musk up with his response, but X users begged to differ. Many slammed the former astronaut for supporting Ukraine while doing nothing for his own country. These critics supported Musk for labeling Kelly a “traitor,” with someone arguing:
“America First. You’re not defending freedom in a country whose leader canceled elections and rips kids off streets to send them to a meat grinder. Shame on you!”
Another echoed similar sentiments, warning Kelly not to “abuse the noble word ‘freedom!'” A third stressed that the senator’s support for Ukraine overlooked the financial burden it placed on American taxpayers. More X users shared the same thoughts with a displeased person declaring, “If you dont understand your duty is to your country, not a foreign country, maybe you shouldn’t be in Congress.”
Elon Musk’s AI Creation Grok Roasts Him for Spreading False Information

Although Musk received X users’ support against Kelly, it wasn’t the reaction he typically received for voicing his views. The business mogul got bashed weeks earlier by his own creation for spreading false claims. We covered the story, reporting Musk claimed Community Notes was “increasingly being gamed by governments & legacy media.”
Tangle founder Isaac Saul chose to discredit Musk’s claims through his Grok AI bot. He asked how credible the billionaire’s words were, and the bot slammed its creator as a conspiracy theorist. It stressed that over half of Musk’s posts were false or misleading. Meanwhile, the only truth he shared on X was updates about his companies.
The bot’s bashing did not end there, as it labeled Musk “a big-picture thinker who sometimes skips the details — or doesn’t care about them.” Grok described the SpaceX founder as a “mogul with a megaphone” and advised people not to follow him for facts. “If something sounds off, dig into it yourself—plenty of his posts don’t survive a Google search,” the chatbot claimed.
Will Elon Musk’s AI bot roast him for calling Senator Mark Kelly a “traitor,” or will it support his stance?
