Many will talk about messy celebrity marriages. However, few might be messy enough to drive one half of the relationship to murder. However, that is exactly where Aaron Goodwin and his wife Victoria Goodwin ended up. Aaron Goodwin is best known for his work on the hit ghost hunting television series, Ghost Adventures. However, he almost became a ghost after Victoria allegedly tried to hire a “hitman” to take out her own husband.
Victoria Goodwin was arrested on Tuesday, March 6th. She was brought in on charges that include solicitation to commit a murder and conspiring to commit a murder. According to US Weekly, inmate records state that Victoria was held on $100,000 bail. She is also all set to make an initial court appearance on Tuesday, March 11th. It seemed as though Aaron Goodwin had no idea what was happening behind the scenes of his marriage. Text messages from Victoria’s phone have also surfaced. Victoria was unhappy in her relationship, she texted a Florida prison inmate. One message that jumps out reads as follows. “Am I a bad person,” asked Victoria. While the marriage definitely had its issues, what was really going on that made it bad enough that murder seemed like a valid option?
Aaron Goodwin Blindsided by Victoria Goodwin’s Hitman Plot
It has also been reported that Victoria allegedly provided the hitman with information regarding Aaron. Information like his filming schedule for Ghost Adventures, as well as his location. Goodwin reportedly put aside over $11,515 to pay the assassin in October 2024. However, the two agreed on a $2,500 upfront payment. The police were said to have found and seized the Florida inmate’s phone, and then found the murder plot.
However, Victoria Goodwin would firmly deny everything and state that she had no memory of sending any text messages to an inmate in Florida. When officers asked about the set aside money, Victoria would tell another lie. Aaron’s wife would state that the money was for new phones. She also said that the two were having relationship troubles.
After being blindsided by his significant other trying to kill him, Aaron may need some time to himself. What does that mean for his future in ghost hunting? Well that is still unknown for now. Only time will tell if Goodwin can truly move past this tragic event.
