A new chapter for Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing legal war against numerous allegations has developed and it now involves a police chief who supposedly helped the rapper and celebrity cover up his alleged sexual assaults. John Pelletier is the authority in question and he currently serves as the Chief of the Maui Police Department in Hawaii.
The information came from a rather shocking court filing accusing John Pelletier of helping Diddy and several other celebrities cover up a gang rape. NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. and comedian Druski (Drew Desbordes) are among those who are also mentioned as perpetrators in the cover-up.
It’s worth noting, however, that Pelletier wasn’t the Maui Police Chief yet during the timeframe mentioned in the accusation. The sexual assault incident supposedly took place around 2018 when Pelletier was the Police Captain for Las Vegas. According to the accuser, Pelletier supposedly posed as a Contra Costa Sheriff after responding to a 911 call from a concerned neighbor about a sexual attack in Orinda, California.
“Pelletier, falsely posing as a Contra Costa Sheriff, told [the alleged victim] and the neighbor that they had received several noise complaints prior to the neighbor’s call and instructed [Ashley Parham] to find a way to get home,” according to the court filing, courtesy of New York Post.
The alleged victim, Ashley Parham, believes that Pelletier also handed an envelope to the neighbor who called 911 after arriving at the scene under the pretense of a Sheriff. Parham then believes that the envelope contained money, effectively further accusing Pelletier of bribery.
Regardless, all men involved in the alleged cover-up, notably Pelletier, have fiercely denied the allegations. Ashley Parham’s initial lawsuit against Diddy back in October 2024 didn’t exactly mention Pelletier and the two other celebrities, but it has since been amended recently.
Pelletier, now a defendant, was put on administrative leave from the Maui Police Department, but his spokesperson insists that the claims are false and suggests that Ashley Parham is trying to manipulate the legal system by spreading misleading narratives.
Pelletier’s Spotty Track Record According to Online Sleuths
Those familiar with officer John Pelletier’s track record have pieced together what they consider a recurring pattern for the man’s law-enforcement career. Pelletier was apparently a high-ranking officer in the Las Vegas Police Department during the deadliest mass shooting in US history, which took place in 2017.
Six years after that, when Pelletier was Police Chief in Maui, Hawaii, the Lahaina fire coincidentally happened under his watch. During the tragedy, the exits were apparently blocked, resulting in hundreds of children going missing due to how the police supposedly prevented evacuations.
Hence, some people have grown more suspicious of the Police Chief’s past activities, especially now that he’s been linked to Diddy– one of the biggest ongoing cases in Hollywood this decade. Certain Redditors couldn’t help but provide a troubling take against Pelletier:
“Pelletier is a walking case study in how power protects itself. From Mandalay Bay to Lahaina to Diddy, he’s always in charge when the story needs to be controlled. This isn’t a coincidence, it’s a pattern. Who put him in these roles and what else don’t we know?” suggests Redditor Few_Complex5351
“This is just so bizarre. If you told me this was a plot for a movie I would think it’s too far fetched to make a script for but here we are and it’s reality,” according to Redditor HilariousButTrue
