A Rhode Island man named Tom Carroll found the secret to weight loss success, and it’s fast food. The Lincoln native recently revealed that he lost more than 100 pounds by following a strict Chick-fil-A diet that included eating at the fast food chain restaurant every day. While it sounds crazy, it worked wonders for Carroll who shed the pounds and is now looking slimmer and healthier than he did before.

After dealing with being overweight and multiple health issues, Tom Carroll found himself looking to make a big change in his life. The Rhode Islander revealed that at 32 years old, eating too much pizza and drinking too much beer had finally taken its toll. So, instead of a trendy diet like Weight Watchers or Atkins, he turned to Chick-fil-A for help. Oddly enough, it was the right move.

“When I stepped on the scale, it said 346 pounds,” he said (via CBS News). “I liked being the big guy that had a good time, that could go out and eat pizza whenever, and go have a beer and not think about it. I knew I was really big, and I didn’t want to go to a doctor and have them tell me you’re really big, and be embarrassed by that,” he added.

Tom revealed that after stumbling upon a delicious spicy southwest salad at the chain restaurant he thought to himself that he could eat the salad every single day. So, that’s what he did. So, instead of exercise and a restrictive diet, he decided to eat the salad every day and cut out alcohol. With those changes alone, he says he was stunned to see he’d lost 60 pounds in the span of just a few weeks.

A couple of months into his Chick-fil-A diet, Carroll says he was feeling better and had lowered his blood pressure and blood sugar levels. He went on to publish a blog titled Chick-fil-A Saved My Life, to encourage others to try his method.

Upon sharing his story, Tom Carroll says that it’s been rewarding to be able to help other people like himself. If the no alcohol and salad diet worked for him, why not others?

“Being able to help other guys like me has been the most rewarding thing that I’ve ever done in my life,” he said.

Of course, some people had some strong opinions about Carroll’s method to lose weight.

“It’s not about what you eat, but how you eat it,” one person commented via TikTok.

“Every day? What about Sundays?” another joked, referencing the fact that the restaurant is closed on Sundays.

“That’s it. I’m going to Chick-fil-A,” another wrote.

“Tom, I feel you. Those salads are bomb,” a fourth comment read.

Today, the Rhode Island man has lost 130 pounds using his Chick-fil-A method. Perhaps, others will find Tom Carroll’s method helpful and start their own weight loss journey.
