We’ve seen all manner of people vandalizing, littering, or doing worse things in public spaces. However, what this Reddit user shared was even worse. Well, not really. It was the opposite of that. In a wholesome clip, this user shared a tortoise eating some grass at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California. While the user jokingly said the “culprit” was “vandalizing” the place, many joined to share some fun comments regarding what happened.
Reddit user fooxygoose shared the video, or rather, GIF, on the r/sanfrancisco subreddit. The GIF shows the chillest tortoise in San Francisco munching on some grass at Golden Gate Park. While many expect to see a lot of wildlife around the area, and this is certainly not the first, how the tortoise calmly eats is the cherry on top of everything.
Naturally, many people jumped in to share a few jokes, laughs, and some very creative comments.

“This guy looks like he’d get into a high speed chase.” – nmpls via Reddit.
Some people were worried this tortoise was someone’s pet that got abandoned in the park. Fortunately, some Redditors commented on the matter, giving peace of mind to their fellow readers.
“I met this guy in Duboce Park a year or so ago! He’s cute! The owner actually was right next to him. She said he lived in her backyard, and I guess she sometimes takes him out for a walk!” – Kyoku22 via Reddit.
In truth, seeing things as wholesome as this one is always refreshing. We’ve been bombarded with so much bad news, so this is a welcome change of pace. Furthermore, it is great to see that the tortoise was accompanied. It is rare to see a tortoise such as this one deep in the park, so the fact that someone was with it makes things much better.
