Amanda Bynes wishes to get closer to her fans; however, her chosen method of communication doesn’t sit right with many. The former Nickelodeon star sparked numerous criticisms over her decision to join the explicit content-sharing platform OnlyFans. Many believed she was better off without an OF title to her name, while others implied she wasn’t the platform’s type. Bynes broke the news on her Instagram Story, sharing a screenshot of her OF account. She explained why she joined the platform in the post’s overlay caption, writing:
“I’m on onlyfans now! Disclaimer: I’m doing onlyfans to chat with my fans through dm’s. I won’t be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join [black heart emoji].”
Although the She’s the Man star’s words showcased her desire to get closer to fans, critics bashed her decision. “Pretty sure this is now rock bottom,” someone declared on X, with another agreeing Bynes had fallen too far. A third described the media personality as a “poor soul” needing prayers, noting her past sufferings.
Trolls Slam Amanda Bynes’ OnlyFans Move as Spiralling

While some addressed Bynes’ OF account from a place of worry, others were not as kind. Someone implied the actress was not the type the platform’s subscribers wanted to see. “I’m concerned about how she thinks people would actually pay to see her,” the X user pointed out. Another echoed similar sentiments, noting there were “better looking chics” than Bynes. The troll added salt to their burn, stressing that the actress “is struggling.”
A critic lamented the situation, declaring that “Bynes’ spiral has been sad to watch.” An X user implored her to “lose the nose ring,” adding that she hadn’t “aged well.” This isn’t the first time Bynes has sparked concern and criticisms over her well-being. Last October, she had fans bashing the press to leave her alone following her solo outing in Los Angeles. We covered the story, reporting the media personality was photographed walking through the streets of L.A.
Amanda Bynes’ L.A. Outing Raised Concern About Her Well-Being
The pictures taken of Bynes captured her rocking a white t-shirt over grey leggings and black boots. She also spotted a black backpack with her bleached blonde hair slicked back away from her face. Many found the snaps offensive since they showcased the actress minding her business on a walk. These critics slammed the press for haunting Bynes despite her mental health struggles. “Leave her alone. She is obviously not well,” someone stressed.
Another echoed similar sentiments, writing, “Please stop. She’s going on with her life, she’s taking her meds. She’s doing good considering.” Bynes’s life after fame has been tumultuous, to say the least, with mental breakdowns and legal troubles. She first made waves for her troubling lifestyle in 2012 when she pleaded not guilty to a DUI. A year later, she was arrested for throwing a bong out of an NYC apartment window. That same year, Bynes was placed on a psychiatric hold, followed by more rehab stints.
