Despite having three wives, a Florida man insists his heart is still up for grabs. Turns out ‘I do’ doesn’t mean he’s done searching for his one true love. Michelle Betsey, Brandi Betsey, and Tonya Betsey all unknowingly got married to the suspect Henry Betsey, Jr., within three years. The suspect took each woman to a different county in Florida, where they exchanged loving vows and signed marriage licenses.

While the women themselves do not necessarily bear any resemblance to each other, they all similarly met Betsey Jr. through online dating platforms. According to Michelle, she met the suspect on Match.com in November 2022. They hit it off immediately, and after a brief courtship period, headed to the Manatee County Courthouse, where they vowed to be committed to each other for eternity.

Unknown to Michelle, Betsey Jr. was already married to Brandi. The second victim, Brandi, got hitched to the suspect months earlier in February 2022. She met him on Stir, an app that helps single parents find love. Brandi admitted that it was her first time on a dating app, and Betsey Jr. wooed her because he “said all the right things.” However, Brandi didn’t know that her Mr. Right was already married to Tonya when they exchanged their vows.

Tonya and Betsey Jr. applied for their marriage license and got married in Gadsden County, Florida, in November 2020, after meeting on Tinder. “Meeting on a dating site, and the way he portrayed himself, he sold the perfect person. When in reality, he was none of those things,” a hurt Tonya recalled.

Tonya was the first of the three women to discover that Betsey Jr. had lied to them. She said she “just started county by county, putting in his name,” when she found he was also legally married to Michelle and Brandi.

Upon learning of her fraudulent marriage, Michelle contacted the authorities in Hernando County, where she had obtained her marriage license, and an investigation began. The three victims all lamented about the situation, pointing out that the marriage license system should have a better way of stopping such incidents.

“There are no safeguards, and I feel like that’s part of where the system failed,” Michelle lamented. “If the counties did talk, it would have saved me a lot of heartache, a lot of money, a lot of stress,” Tonya agreed.

The three women were even further shocked to learn that the suspect was still on the prowl, looking for his next victim. Per ABC Action, Betsey Jr has a new dating profile on Bumble with a bio that reads, “Looking for a beautiful woman who understands the ups and downs of life, is trustworthy and no games.”

Betsey Jr’s fraudulent act has made rounds on social media, sparking mixed reactions. One user commented, “So if he just made all of them baby mommas and didn’t marry any of them that would be ok. Look to Elon Musk and his ever-increasing number of baby mommas.”

Another user remarked, “And this is why you don’t marry someone 3 weeks after meeting them on Tinder, folks.” Other users called him a “predator” and urged that he face “trigamy charges.”

Henry Betsey Jr was arrested and charged with felony bigamy, to which he pleaded not guilty. After his arrest, he asked for an annulment of his marriage to Michelle and Brandy and filed for divorce from Tonya.
